The room is nice, but the upstairs bath is a bit tricky, the scrubbing time is very short, the high-priced service is tricky, the outsiders are not friendly, and the lost items are not found. I don't recommend going to the bathhouse
This hotel is perfect for families with children. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, including a washer-dryer combo. On the 9th floor, there's a kids' play area, game room, gym, and a well-appointed spa pool. The location is also fantastic, right above Taiyuan Street Pedestrian Street and very close to Zhongshan Square. For those interested in a morning market, the Bayi Morning Market is just across from Bayi Park, a short taxi ride away (minimum fare). There's also a self-service bento box place across the street if you're looking for a good value meal.
The room was spacious, bright, clean, and tidy. Parking was very convenient, and breakfast was good. My only confusion was why there were restrictions on the 'complimentary' drinking water. At checkout, another guest mentioned being charged for extra water, and it turned out I had also been caught out. (I saw a disposable toilet seat cover on the toilet and assumed it was free, but it was one of those flimsy, unusable types like on planes, so I threw it away.) They charged me 2 yuan for it! Having traveled extensively, this is the first time I've encountered something like this. Just a heads-up to be cautious. I hope the hotel doesn't lose customers by nickel-and-diming them.

Great location, across from Zhongshan square and 15 minutes walk to Russia street. The marina is a short 10-15 mini taxi ride. This hotel is like an old style China hotel, it’s kind of grand and is kept in relatively good condition, but it is dated with dark wood furniture and not in keeping with the high expectation of an InterContinental, especially compared with other cities. Also, there is a weird smell in the room, and the breakfast spread is limited, even in the club lounge. Also, there was no acknowledgment of my milestone birthday, which was disappointing. On the positive, the executive room is a nice size, bathroom is huge, shower is powerful, the condition is ok, bed and pillows are comfortable, no coffee machine, but free access to lounge with afternoon tea on both days and happy hour where food is served. The pool is large and up to 1.8m deep. The price is relatively good, so overall it was enjoyable. Thanks also to Grace who gave me a late check out and a magnet. I hope they refurbish the hotel soon, as it could be better, through it ain’t that bad ether.
We stayed here for three nights, but two would have been more than enough. The attractions here are quite informal and open. The Mural Museum was closed on two consecutive days. Tokyo Mausoleum advertises that it's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, which we missed, but the driver told us it might be closed for a long time. Other places are generally open. I recommend Jinbihuihuang, across the bridge. It's delicious and a must-try. They even have resident singers on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Afterward, we took a walk back and enjoyed the refreshing breeze.
The hotel was okay; it was relatively clean and looked relatively new. The service wasn't as good as hotels in the south. Cleaning was something you had to ask about, not what you asked for. They provided plenty of mineral water each day, unlike some hotels that only give you two bottles, which is hardly enough in the summer. This was a really nice touch. The following pictures are of the hotel breakfast. Our children can't handle spicy food, so we had fried rice every day, so the options were a bit limited.

Excellent hotel across the street from a new Wanda Shopping Mall. It's modern, clean, and friendly. The breakfast is good serving both western and Chinese style food. The coffee is delicious, and the floor managers give excellent service. The front desk is very helpful and friendly. This is our second time to stay there, but it will not be our last. Oh... The bed is very comfortable. I'm not sure I ever turned over the first night we slept there.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I originally booked it for the pool, and considering its age, my expectations weren't very high. But to my surprise, from the moment we got out of the car, the concierge staff proactively opened doors and handled our luggage every single time, without fail. In stark contrast, when we later moved to the Four Seasons, we had to carry our own bags inside before anyone offered assistance! While the rooms are a bit dated, it's clear the housekeeping team does a very thorough job. Even my mother, who is a neat freak, found it satisfactory. In contrast, at the Four Seasons, she immediately spotted dust on the glass and high up in the wardrobe! The location is excellent, making it convenient for getting anywhere. The complimentary fish jerky and candies were delicious! There's also a morning market just a hundred meters walk away. We had a minor issue on our second day, but the Guest Services Manager resolved it very professionally. If I have the chance to visit Dalian again, I will definitely choose the New World! Expensive doesn't always mean best, but we all unanimously agreed that the New World offers the best value for money.

I'm a local from Shenyang, and for Qixi Festival, I wanted to try something different. This time, I booked a Horizon Club Garden View Room at Shangri-La. The view was fantastic, and in the evening, I could even take a stroll in Youth Park downstairs. The hotel's location is excellent; it connects directly to Kerry Centre Shopping Mall and MixC City underground, making shopping 🛍️ and dining incredibly convenient.
**Ambiance:** Shangri-La has a classic, slightly dated feel in its traditional Chinese decor, but it still exudes a stately and comfortable elegance.
**Cleanliness:** Spotlessly clean and tidy. I didn't find any neglected spots in the room.
**Facilities:** While the in-room facilities are a bit dated, the bedding, in particular, was uncomfortable for me. The standard pillows were very soft, and the mattress was also quite soft, which didn't provide enough support for a comfortable sleep. This can be easily resolved by requesting latex or buckwheat pillows from the front desk, or asking to remove the feather topper from the mattress. (I personally prefer a combination of firm and soft elements for bedding.) Overall, it was acceptable. The hotel's swimming pool is heated. I had researched it before checking in, so I brought my swimsuit. It wasn't crowded, the water was very clean, and the lifeguard was constantly by the poolside, very dedicated. My partner and I swam 30 laps on the day we checked in – it was fantastic.
**Service:** The service was incredibly attentive. I arrived before 1 PM, and since there was a vacant room, they arranged for me to check in immediately. Although it was a connecting room, it was very quiet at night and didn't disturb my sleep. However, if available, I would still try to avoid connecting rooms.
Since I booked an executive floor room, I had access to the 30th-floor executive lounge. I'm not an elite member, but the overall service and hospitality were excellent and thoughtful. They offer soft drinks and snacks throughout the day. The afternoon tea is simple, with soft drinks and some light bites, but sitting by the window on the 30th floor with its expansive view and relaxing is a truly pleasant experience. The evening Happy Hour can also be quite satisfying if your expectations aren't too high, offering hot and cold dishes, along with alcoholic beverages.
Now for the highlight: the Horizon Club breakfast was truly something to look forward to! The à la carte menu offered high-quality dishes, and as a foodie, I was absolutely delighted. It's more distinctive than a standard five-star breakfast. I would definitely return just for this breakfast!

Took my child to enjoy the hot springs during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Even though it was a holiday and quite crowded, the experience far exceeded my expectations.
We arrived at 2:30 PM, and the front desk lady was incredibly gentle and thoughtful. She kept apologizing because our room wasn't ready yet.
The staff member dressed as Judy (from Zootopia) who was in charge of greeting the kids was very approachable and patient, interacting with them wonderfully.
Even though it was only early October, the room was already heated. Sitting on the balcony, gazing at the distant, overlapping mountains was truly relaxing.
The outdoor hot spring pools offered a wide variety: milk, red wine, mugwort, lemon, aloe vera, grotto, lavender, and rose. If the weather is good, the hillside pools are also open, and the children's bubble bath pool has scheduled operating times. Staff members regularly patrol the pools, adjusting water temperatures, clearing leaves, and ensuring the pools remain clean.
Indoors, there were showers, body scrubs, and complimentary fruits and snacks.
The second floor of the bath area featured a relaxation zone, a small soft play area, a dragon-fire bath, and a cinema.
At 9 PM, overnight guests could enjoy a complimentary late-night snack service, including noodles, congee, eggs, and side dishes.
The hotel breakfast was just okay; although there was a good variety, the taste was average, not as good as the late-night snacks.
Since we had a child, the hotel also provided adorable kids' toothbrushes and bathrobes, which the little ones absolutely loved.
A delightful day came to an end, and the children didn't want to go home, but rooms are so hard to book during holidays that we had to head back.

During my stay at Fushun Friendship Hotel, I was thoroughly impressed with the overall service experience. The professionalism and attention to detail exhibited by the staff were evident throughout, all delivered with efficiency and warmth.
The dining experience at the Chinese restaurant was particularly commendable. The dishes were authentic in flavor and meticulously prepared, reflecting a clear dedication to quality ingredients and culinary craftsmanship. Each course was a testament to the kitchen’s expertise.
While enjoying new coffee blends and refreshments at the lobby bar during my leisure time, the young female staff consistently maintained a polite and courteous demeanor, engaging in friendly and natural conversations that enhanced the relaxed ambiance.
Over several days, the hotel demonstrated high standards across all aspects – service, dining, and ambiance – creating a consistently comfortable and reassuring environment. I look forward to the opportunity of staying here again in the future.

AAnonymous UserI had mistakenly booked a street-view room when I was really hoping for a sea-view one. However, Lin Junjie at the front desk was incredibly helpful! He enthusiastically assisted me in upgrading to a junior suite by just paying the price difference. The room was spacious and offered a fantastic view. The breakfast selection was also extensive – to use a Northeastern Chinese phrase I've just picked up, it was 'gaga-de' (absolutely superb)! Definitely a top rating!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

GGuest UserThe room is large, suitable for family travel, the service attitude is very good, the buffet is also good, but the overall facilities are relatively old, the floor is cracked, and the TV is relatively small. Another point is that you can only enter and exit the hot spring area once when staying in the hotel. If you want to go again the next morning, you will have to pay an extra fee.

AAnonymous UserDuring the National Day holiday, I went out with my friends and chose this place because I saw that it could steam. However, it was a bit inconvenient for us to get on and off the two-person cabin. The transportation is only a seven or eight-minute walk to the subway station. There are no attractions around. Other than these, everything else is ok.

VVerusha GovenderBayshore hotel was an amazing stay we stayed in the family suite and it met our expectations. Everything was clean and spacious, the breakfast was okay, they did t have much of a western spread but it was up to standards just the food was always cold. The location was great it was really close to Xinghai park and xinghai square. The only issue we had was the elevator I know the concept of the twin elevator was innovative but during peak time you would wait a good 5 to 10 min for the elevator. However the stay was great and I would definitely consider staying at bayshore hotel again.

11350050****Dalian wasn't originally part of our travel plans, but having visited 26 years ago, I wanted to see how the city had changed. While searching for five-star hotels in Dalian on Ctrip, I noticed the Four Seasons Hotel Dalian in Donggang. We typically book executive rooms for the complimentary light evening meal, which saves us the hassle of finding dinner elsewhere. We had never stayed at a Four Seasons before, as this one only opened in 2024. Its location is excellent, being close to Donggang Music Fountain and Venice Water Town, with Metro Line 2's Exit A conveniently nearby.
We hoped the hotel would offer a unique experience, and we arrived on August 4th at noon. The hotel lobby on the 41st floor boasts picturesque sea views. The front desk quickly arranged a sea-view executive room for us on the highest floor, overlooking the ocean – it was truly enjoyable. The breakfast was exceptional; compared to the Ritz-Carlton in Harbin and the Conrad in Shenyang, the Dalian Four Seasons' breakfast was definitely the best.
However, the light evening meal at the Executive Lounge on August 4th and 5th was served semi-buffet style, and the food selection was rather average. We weren't particularly fond of this format. We communicated our honest feedback to Manager Wang Tianxin, who listened patiently. We mentioned that the light evening meals at the Ritz-Carlton Harbin and Conrad Shenyang were excellent, and stated that if the quality remained the same, we would consider checking out after a few days and moving to another hotel. Manager Wang Tianxin promptly informed us that the full buffet style would resume from the 6th onwards. Her professionalism left a lasting impression on us!
From August 6th, we thoroughly enjoyed the buffet-style light evening meal. While it was a 'light meal,' the selection was diverse, and every dish was exquisitely prepared. Assistant Manager Guo Yuxian proactively asked if we had any requests, and the attentive and meticulous service from all the staff made us feel right at home. Special shout-outs to Xiao Du, the young Mongolian gentleman, and Xiao Yue, the lovely lady, whose service was absolutely outstanding! The head chef meticulously prepared a special dish each day, which we greatly appreciated. Among the three hotels we’ve stayed at this summer, the Four Seasons had the best temperature control. The impeccable service at the Four Seasons perfectly capped off our summer getaway. Our heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the Four Seasons Hotel. Next time we visit Dalian, we will only stay at the Four Seasons.
