Advantages: 1. Famous landmark, symbol of Huzhou, light show 2. Lake view from the room 3. Stunning service, butler Lucy is great! And everyone in this hotel is super nice and helpful, doing their best job! The staff is real luxury in this place. 4. Hot springs (many choices, clean) 5. Decent breakfast (a real honeycomb, cheese selection , grilled chicken, they even prepared egg Benedict for us) Disadvantages: 1. It’s really old and you can feel it-outdated “tired” furniture, decorations, dirty carpets 2. Odour in the room (“aged” smoke) 3. Ridiculous prices for 7-eleven quality food (ordered room service), the worst Caesar salad I’ve ever tried (although I was reimbursed easily) 4. Some facilities are out of order, like a steam room 5. Dirty pool (the water was not clear, the staff told us that’s because there were too many people) I’d like to thank Lucy and other employees for doing everything they could to make us happy. I still recommend this place for a short stay and experiencing the hot springs.

The hotel boasts excellent facilities, convenient transportation, beautiful scenery, and attentive service. The complimentary afternoon tea is a delightful surprise, with its ever-changing selection. In-room dining is also fresh and delicious. The bathtub in this hotel is perfect for a relaxing soak – it’s clean, and the depth and length are just right, making it slip-resistant. This hotel is particularly suitable for tourists, being very close to Yangming Ancient Town, Wang Yangming's Former Residence, and Longquan Mountain, all within a 10-minute walk. The Yao River, especially beautiful in the misty rain, is right outside the hotel's entrance. This time, I also discovered another must-visit spot not far from the hotel: Yuyao Museum, which has a rich collection and truly lives up to Yuyao's reputation as a cultural hub.

The room was clean and tidy, and the room service was very enthusiastic. The front desk was also very considerate, thank you. The hotel is right next to the train station, within walking distance, and there are many snack bars and night markets nearby. It was a good experience.

Room: The room facilities are a bit dated, but still clean. The only issue with the entire hotel is the high number of Middle Eastern guests, leading to a strong body odor that permeates the rooms. This might be due to consistently hosting this clientele. I'd suggest the housekeeping department open windows more often or use stronger air fresheners during cleaning to eliminate the odor. Hygiene: The hygiene is acceptable. Ambiance: It's clear that the hotel's hardware was a significant investment many years ago, using good materials. As I said, it's starting to show its age a bit. Service: Overall, the hotel's service is quite good. The front desk staff are all very enthusiastic during check-in, and the process is quite efficient. Executive Lounge: It's worth mentioning that their executive lounge's food is excellent. I stayed in a suite with executive lounge access at the Ritz-Carlton in Suzhou a few days ago, and in comparison, the food quality at Shangri-La Yiwu is even better than the Ritz-Carlton Suzhou. The F&B director deserves commendation. Breakfast is very extensive and served in the executive lounge, and the taste is also very good.

It's been a while since I've been to Ruian, and Kaiyuan Mingdu still looks just as familiar. It's my go-to for business trips; the rooms are very spacious and comfortable, and the facilities are good too. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful, with a wide variety of options. All the different pancakes and pastries are delicious. The only minor drawback is that the toilet seems a bit old. There's an unavoidable odor when lifting the lid, even after housekeeping has disinfected and cleaned it. I suggest perhaps keeping the lid open in the future might help.

The hotel is new, clean, big and well organized. Rooms are spacious and with nice view from higher floor. The staff is very helpful and solve any problem. Breakfast is with wide choice. The price has no big difference with small hotel in this town. Highly recommended.

Xiao Guo at the front desk was incredibly warm and friendly. We arrived early, and she immediately helped us check in quickly. She even upgraded both our families to a suite, which was fantastic – service gets a perfect score! The suite was very spacious, and the two-meter bed was perfect for two adults and a child. The bathroom had a bathtub, and the toiletries were from Atelier Cologne, plus the toothpaste, toothbrushes, and slippers were all good quality. Despite being on a busy street, it was very quiet. The underground parking garage has Tesla charging stations, and remember to scan a QR code at the front desk for free parking when you leave. Breakfast is on the first floor, and the selection was quite extensive, definitely not as bad as some reviews suggested, and the taste was good too. Overall, we felt it offered excellent value for money. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Intime Department Store and not far from Haining Museum and Ganhe Street.

When I came to Shengzhou for the first time, I decided to choose a hotel named after the place. Eat Shengzhou steamed buns and stay in a Shengzhou hotel! Overall, I feel that the hotel's health service environment is quite ok. It's just that the breakfast is a little bit disappointing.

First off, the location is great. It's just a short walk from Exit C of Jian’guo North Road subway station, which is really convenient. The hotel rooms are also quite clean and well-equipped. However, there are a few downsides. Firstly, I booked a family room, and the booking page stated it could accommodate three people, but breakfast was only provided for a maximum of two. If we wanted an extra breakfast, it would cost an additional 58 yuan per day. On the day of check-in, the front desk informed us that we could purchase a 68 yuan hotel membership card which would then include two breakfasts. This feels a bit like a bundled sale, doesn't it? I hope the hotel can offer a package with three breakfasts next time, especially for a family room that can accommodate three people. Secondly, on the morning of April 18th, while having breakfast on the 25th floor, I saw a live cockroach crawling on the countertop near the toppings section of the open kitchen. More than one person witnessed this, and the suspected contaminated condiment station was not subsequently cleaned up. Therefore, I hope the hotel strengthens its hygiene and safety awareness and also improves its staff's ability to handle unexpected situations.
