The fly in the ointment is that The gym is quite small, and one of the three is just broken, but the overall experience is good 👍, the room is comfortable and clean! The overall stay was quite good. The hotel is in a good location. The beach is right outside the hotel. The room is not very big, but it has everything it should have. The balcony is quite good. I thought the balcony was directly facing the beach at first, but it was only a small part, but it was good enough. The first picture was taken on the balcony. I was quite satisfied with the price. There is a hiking route where you can see the entire sea view, which is particularly beautiful. The view of the sea and sky is so charming. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to the city. It is also a very good place. Overall, it is highly recommended. Because it was a self-driving tour, it was already past 12 am when I arrived. The people in the bar in the hotel helped me find someone to arrange a room, so those who check in after midnight must call the hotel in advance to confirm the room number.

We came here without a car having got busses from Bilbao. Not easy finding a hotel with a pool and within LaGuardia so worked perfectly. Arguably not a four star but was comfortable and and pool was lovely. Would recommend for the price

The hotel is located in a quiet, scenic area up in the mountains, offering a peaceful retreat from the city. However, there aren’t many restaurants or supermarkets nearby, so planning ahead is recommended. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the hotel by bus from the city center or the train/bus station. I loved the interior design of the room — it felt very refreshing and relaxing, with thoughtful touches that added to the overall comfort and ambiance. Check-in can be a bit frustrating — during my visit, I noticed several groups of Asian tourists waiting, though I’m not sure what caused the delay. That said, the gentlemen at the front desk were all very helpful, and the hotel responded quickly to any requests. Unfortunately, due to a packed schedule, I didn’t have the chance to try the hotel’s restaurant, which I hope to experience next time.

We had such a great time this year for Semana Grande. And the Axel Hotel was in the perfect location for us. Right on the river next to a great spot for drinks and food. The rooftop pool is also a great spot to watch the fireworks! The staff was so helpful and friendly. And although we didn't need housekeeping while we were staying there they offered every day to clean our room or swap out towels or necessities for us. What a great experience. We will definitely be back!

This hotel makes people feel the feeling of returning home: there are delicious dishes at home, a warm and homelike environment, and a full range of all-weather services. I'll come here if I have a chance.

The staff went out of their way to assist in directions, recommendations, and when we lost key to replace after we were out late!! The breakfast was lovely! To offer coffee would be super but we bought our own.
