We had an absolutely incredible experience during our stay. Best was the swimming pool area. The surroundings were stunning, with breathtaking scenery that left us in awe. Every aspect of the resort was meticulously organized, creating a seamless experience from check-in to check-out. We especially enjoyed the expansive pool area, which was perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. Thank you for welcoming us so warmly; it truly made our visit unforgettable!

A great hotel in its price category. Near (minute 7 walk) subway station. The room is small but enough to stay. The room has air conditioning, refrigerator, fan. Good breakfast. We had breakfast in a cozy interior courtyard - beauty. From the downsides - noise isolation no and air conditioner is installed so that blows exactly on the bed (we had number 309)

This is a really great hotel. The facilities have a wonderful sense of history, and it's very clean. It's a shame I only stayed for one night, but I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.

This hotel is located largely outside of central Budapest in a quiet area adjacent to the Hungarian Fairgrounds. The easiest way to get to central Budapest is via the ”Pillangó utca” station on the M2 metro line (red line), which is approximately 1.26 kilometers away. To get to the aforementioned metro station, you can take bus number 10 on weekdays. Bus number 10 is closed on weekends and is unavailable, so on these days, the journey can only be made on foot or by public or private taxi. Therefore, the public transportation network is somewhat deficient for those with children or elderly family members traveling. The overall exterior condition is quite good due to the hotel's well-maintained facilities, and the interior is equally well-maintained and modern. The reception staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful in answering any questions. The room is quite good, prioritizing the well-being of guests with exclusive basic sewing kits, toiletries, and other consumables typical of four-star hotels. Regarding the room, it featured an exquisitely made bed with clean, fragrant sheets. The generous space includes a desk, luggage storage, modern nightstands, and comfortable chairs. The room also has perfectly functioning air conditioning. Breakfast offers a wide variety of food, catering to any taste. It's worth noting that the hotel has a Sky Bar on the 12th and top floor with an incredible view of the Budapest skyline. Overall, it's quite pleasant and recommended for those who don't mind staying a little further from the center and have the means to get around on their own. A fair price/quality ratio.

A nice and pretty affordable four star hotel - perfect for families. Clean, relatively big and modern rooms with river view and balcony. The rooms are bright and give you a good feeling. Bathtub and shower in one. Medium size TV with an okay selection of channels. The very nice thing about this hotel is the pool and sauna area. Several pools for swimming, relaxing and one pool with thermal water. They even have kind of a medical spa/hospital attached to the hotel where you can get (health) cure. The breakfast has a great selection and is delicious. The hotel WiFi works very good and is available almost everywhere. The service and staff are friendly and helpful. They provide you a free water bottle in the room as welcome gift, which other hotels don’t as the tap water is drinkable. The location is on the island, where there are parks and kids playgrounds nearby, even there is a very small zoo for kids to play/touch some animals. To go to most sights/inner city/circus/thermal pools you can take a taxi with the Bolt app for approx. 8-10€. Near the hotel there is also a very tasty chain restaurant VakVarjú Étterem with typical Hungarian dishes. The hotel is also very dog friendly. We loved our stay and will come back. We also stayed in Danubius Hotel Helia nearby, but this one here is much better!

The hotel is more like a vacation home. The restaurant is open only for breakfast. It's closed after breakfast. The bar is closed. There's no cafe. The rooms are very cramped. The bathrooms are extremely tight, barely big enough for one person. The larger ones in the photos are few and far between. Breakfast is good. Unfortunately, chlorinated pools are available in the hotel next door, which is connected by an underground tunnel. The restaurant and cafe are already open in the hotel next door, but everything resembles a spa from the 1980s. The location on the island is very nice. Peaceful, with lots of greenery, old trees, and birdsong. The center is almost a 2-kilometer walk away, but there's a bus stop near the hotel.

A perfect hotel for a weekend stay in Budapest, or even during your vacation. There are three beautiful pools and saunas, including a steam room. Perfect breakfast with a wide selection.

The hotel is well located to walk around and there are great places to eat nearby. It’s a 15 minute walk to the Christmas markets and river. The hotel is very nice in the entrance with a dramatically beautiful lobby, but the rooms are small, dark and in my case not very clean. Before I keep with the negative aspects, I’d like to make a special remark to Mr. Janos who was the most helpful person and so willing to help and gave us the best recommendations, including best running route!!! I arrived at 7am and was able to change and go for a run before my room was ready as early as 11am!! Thank you for that!!!! Back to the negative: My room didn’t have a bath (my friend’s on the same floor did 🥲) and the furniture was old and kind of sad. The worst was the shower. It was so tiny and badly designed that it was impossible to use the shampoo without getting it all washed away. Breakfast was very good, specially if you are an early bird like me and can enjoy the 7am opening service with fresh bread, amazing eggs and the cauliflower which was my ultimate favorite!! All in all, pleasant stay, made much better by Janos!!!!!

The hotel is on the mountain, next to Fisherman's Bastion. When I checked into the hotel, I thought it would be inconvenient to get to the city. I didn't expect that not only would I be able to see the church as soon as I left the hotel every day, but I would also be able to walk more than 100 meters to the 16/16A bus, which runs until 12 o'clock every day, so I didn't have to worry about going up and down the mountain. If you want to be the first to seize the invincible sunrise at Fisherman's Bastion, then choosing this hotel is the right choice. It only takes 8 to 10 minutes to walk. It's also very convenient to go to the Budapest Castle. You don't have to go down the mountain. You can get to the castle in two or three bus stops because it is parallel to the Fisherman's Bastion. The room is not big and it is a bit stressful to open two luggages. The breakfast is average and there are few categories. But the food in the hotel's restaurant is very good. Reservation required. There is no socket on the dressing table. You need to stand in the bathtub to take a shower. The partition glass is very narrow. Every time I take a shower, the bathroom floor is filled with water. I don't like these two things.

We had a great stay at Lion’s Garden Hotel! The pool and spa area felt like a private escape—we practically had it all to ourselves. The staff were friendly, and the hotel strikes a perfect balance between elegance and coziness, offering all the right amenities without breaking the bank. Plus, it’s pretty central, making it easy to explore many of Budapest’s top attractions. Would definitely stay here again!
