Overall, it was satisfying. The staff were polite and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. If possible, I'd suggest upgrading the TV channels; there were too few options. For guests like us who stay a bit longer, it gets a bit boring because there aren't any good TV programs.

This hotel is located in the heart of Penang Island, right opposite Komtar. Upon check-in, we were upgraded to a high-floor sea view room. The breakfast spread was excellent, and it's super convenient for shopping districts and the famous street art area. Penang durians, especially Musang King and Black Thorn, had just come into season and were absolutely delicious! I've stayed at a few other hotels for business trips to Penang before, but from now on, this hotel will be my go-to choice.

We stayed in Ansgana wing one bedroom suite. It's born with a magnificent Seaview but unfortunately obscured by the hotel layout like the balcony concrete egde at living room and the missing of curtain binder to gain 5-10% of Seaview. The sofa and TV are setup by the window side both at the living room and bed room but during day time the sunshine is so strong that you have to draw the curtain if you want to watch TV but at the same time your completely lose the view. The breakfast buffet offered were standard and I have no comment but the only obervation is the crows are the only diehard fans of the hotel food as they tried their best effort to grab the food from the table even in front of the guests! The only element that made our stay a good one is the hotel staff. Starting from Cika who handled our check in, our room attendant Masum, the big and tall guy at the buffet restaurant and also the lady who took care of our check out. All of them were efficient and effectively attending and responding to guests needs and tried their best effort to help us during our stay and kindly send my compliment to them especially Masum. Thank you Masum you deserves to be praised. Well done! Ansgana management in reading it's your team that saved your position that still got a 5 points except the food! In conclusion Ansgana tried to pack herself as a resort but quite unsuccessful as after check out we headed to Shangri-La Rasa Sayang and you will experience the layback and relax feel in a resort!

First, the basic hotel info: it's a 40-minute drive from the old town. We've stayed at many 'Roc' brand hotels before, but this one was surprisingly small. Also, there are no shows or performances on weekdays. Regarding cleanliness, our room faced the pool, which made it quite noisy. If you prefer quiet, you might want to request a room on the other side. Now, breakfast. It was still 'Roc' style, but there really wasn't much to eat. We booked a three-day, two-night stay, and on our second morning, we were told breakfast wasn't included. This was absolutely ridiculous! The hotel's front desk had already confirmed it was included, yet the restaurant staff insisted it wasn't. They kept making us reconfirm and even took photos. Couldn't they just check with the front desk themselves? This lack of attention to detail was really disappointing.

I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Penang and had such a wonderful experience. One of the highlights of my stay was the spa. The masseuse was incredibly attentive and took the time to understand my body’s needs, making the treatment both relaxing and rejuvenating. The breakfast buffet was another standout. There was an impressive variety of options each morning. On the first day, I enjoyed an English breakfast, pancakes, and nasi lemak. On the second day, I went for nasi tomato, roti canai, and waffles. The selection catered to both local and international tastes, making every breakfast something to look forward to. The beach is conveniently located near the hotel and feels almost like a private lagoon designed exclusively for guests. It offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for unwinding by the sea. The hotel also provides excellent facilities for all ages, including separate pools for kids and adults. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, such as foosball, snooker, and even a kids’ cinema area. Overall, it was a fun and memorable stay, with great hospitality, excellent food, relaxing wellness facilities, and plenty of activities for families and couples alike. I would definitely recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Penang for a relaxing getaway.

We have now completed our third and fourth days at PARKROYAL Penang Resort, and our experience has been exceptional from start to finish. One of the highlights of our stay was the room change arranged by the hotel team. We were delighted to receive a room with a breathtaking view, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude for this thoughtful gesture. The room is spacious, comfortable, beautifully maintained, and offers a stunning outlook that made our stay even more enjoyable. Throughout our visit, everything has exceeded our expectations. The resort is well-maintained, the facilities are excellent, and the atmosphere is both relaxing and welcoming. Every detail reflects the team’s commitment to providing a high-quality guest experience. I would also like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the entire PARKROYAL Penang Resort team for their outstanding hospitality and genuine warmth. From the Front Office team to Housekeeping and all staff members behind the scenes, everyone has been professional, friendly, attentive, and always willing to assist with a smile. Check-in 21/3 Check-out 24/3 I have been staying at this hotel since year 2000. This time around I really frustrated. We were assigned at unit no.85. The air-conditioner were not fully working. We have to clean the filters ourselves. Imagine a paying guest got to do these (refer the enclosed photos). Then still the same. A Bangladeshi so call the technician claimed that only when there is a complaint he will check, no periodic maintenance, just imagine! Next day we were assigned unit no.87, still the same. So we decided to shorten our stay & leave the hotel on 23/3. Then this Bangladeshi admitted that the owner/management had received lots of complaint from the guest about the room air-conditioner. Nevertheless I must praised Mr Naim & Ms Ayu whom had attended to these issues. They did their very best but it looks like the owner couldn’t be bother. Penaga used to be the best hotel but now no wonder the rating went down. Question here who is going to compensate our losses? Will Trip.com compensate? We paid but we get these rubbish. All I can say stay away from this hotel until they improve it.

Everything are perfect, spacious & modern. Huge working table, I would recommend take facing the stadium for more peaceful rest. 2 things to improve: offer more pillows option, the default are too soft to my liking. Second, the huge glass table no mouse friendly & get smuggles easily. I surely will be back again, thanks Amari team.

I stayed for three nights, and the hotel's design is innovative, the decor is unique, and the location is excellent. All the attractions are within walking distance, and if you get tired, you can even take a floral float to admire the ancient buildings.
