Hotels With Spa in Davao Region, Philippines

We used to frequent at GoHotels (other branches) many years ago so I know that it’s a reputable hotel. But this time, COME ON. They renovated the exterior and lobby of GH Lanang to look new but the rooms are way too old. I paid 4,100+ for 2 nights and it was not worth it - TERRIBLE at that. I didn’t sleep well because of the room state and avoided using the toilet and shower as much as I could because just look at the photos and be the judge. Not only did it look bad, it also smelled bad. On my 2nd morning, I kindly requested for room service but the staff informed me that they only do room service on a guests’s 3rd day but I was only on a 3D2N stay so I figured I wasn’t qualified. I went on and requested that the CR at least be sprayed with air freshener because it was smelly (I literally told them it was smelly). They agreed this time so I expected it to have been done upon my return in the evening but unfortunately it wasn’t (still smelly when I arrived) and I didn’t bother to request again. There was no exhaust fan in the toilet - only a small window that didn’t help at all with the smell up to my last day. Note that there is no “main” CR door - only 2 separate glass doors, one for the toilet and one for the shower. So expect to smell your own poop in the entire because the doors would not hold off the smell for you, lol. You can see the sink from your bed because it was just… there. The only redeeming factor of that room was the duvet and 2 of the pillows (the pillow cases of the other 2 were old and cheap). Other small things I should note: in-room phone wasn’t working so I had to google the number and call the front desk from my mobile phone. I borrowed a flat iron and was quickly brought up to me (thank you, staff). I also requested for a towel change (just 1; there were 2) on my first night because the towels were giving off this weird smell. They quickly changed it (thank you again) but it smelled the same so maybe it was the detergent being used that smelled weird. I let it go. One of the bedside lamps had small stains that looked like blood, which freaked me out NGL. Look, I wasn’t expecting a luxurious stay. With that experience, I will NEVER stay at ANY GoHotels again and will probably avoid Summit hotels too because it was being advertised at the lobby and I don’t wanna risk paying more money for another sub-par experience. P.S. I cannot comprehend how others have recently rated GH Lanang with 5 stars LOL

Whenever you have a hotel like this, you know it's one of those situations where they are not happy with their pay. So they just run the hotel into the ground like Sir Domini the front desk manager. I spoke to this guy on the phone over a complaint and he kept saying sorry but it was obvious he didn't really care. His staff member (Siti) hung up on me 6 times!!! When i wanted to change the date of my booking, and she asked me to call Agoda (my booking agent). Even though i called Agoda i wanted to talk to the manager for a long term stay. She asked me why i wanted to speak to a manager and i told her it's private between me and the manager that's when she started hanging up. It's obvious to me that the manager is in on this type of activity because when i called him and got him on the phone finally he said he heard the conversation. So it's like...if you can hear, or heard the conversation why didn't you intervene right away? Or couldn't you reply to me by e-mail and apologize for your staff's rudely conduct??? So guys don't expect anything from this hotel. I would go as far as to say you are not safe here. With the non attentiveness and care for the guests needs, you can almost be sure you're going to have many problems. There are many hotels in Davao why put up with this garbage. I been coming here for 5 years but i will from go somewhere else from now on. They don't deserve my business or the business from good people. This is not a good hotel, and I do not recommend it.

We chose The Strand because the online information said it: 1) Was in the right location (near malls) 2) Fit our budget of less than 1000 pesos a night 3) Pictures showed it was clean and looked fairly new 4) Didn't have that motel vibe PROS: 1) Affordable -- less than 1000 a night, man. 2) Friendly, accommodating staff -- we had to change our booking because we were going to stay in another hotel after our first night in Davao, and then go back to The Strand on the third night. Of course, we gave this confirmation before the no cancellation deadline, but what I liked was that we didn't have to do any rebooking online. The staff arranged the modification for us. 3) Morning coffee and bread -- The booking.com information said that breakfast wasn't included. They actually serve one cup of coffee (Nescafe 3-in-1) and one piece of bread (stuffed pandesal) from 6am-10am. It's not a substitute for a proper breakfast, but it can stave off hunger while you're on your way to finding a restaurant or cafe. 4) New building -- It was built only 2 years ago 5) Clean -- Some dirt between the bathroom tiles but not a big deal CONS: 1) Steep & limited parking -- We cracked the car's front fender, and there were only two parking slots. Another option is street parking, but then won't be as secure. 2) No 24-hour pharmacies within walking distance -- I got sick and the hotel doesn't sell paracetamols either. Bring your own med kit if you plan to stay here. 3) No elevator -- They only have 4 levels, so not a big deal unless you're a PWD. Just request for a lower floor upon booking, NOT upon check-in. 4) No jeepney or bus stops nearby -- it's an 8-10 minute walk from the hotel to the nearest street with public transport. We suggest downloading the Grab application so that you can book a taxi anytime. Davao taxi drivers are nice :) 5) Saggy mattress OVERALL: Great for those who are no-frills travelers. The room was very basic, but spacious and clean (we booked a studio). However, next time we might stay somewhere else with better parking and closer to a convenience store or pharmacy. There were other minuscule inconveniences but at such a cheap price per night I was happy to just let them go.

The hotel offers a spacious room with multiple power outlets, but the WIFI is very weak. unfortunately there was no rug provided and the toilet and bath is very small.

This 70 + year old hotel surely exceeded my expectations. The check-in process was straight forward and simple so I quickly found myself in my room. This room was nicely furnished and newly renovated with all the standard necessary amenities. Very comfortable king sized bed with very clean sheets and pillows. A couple of bedside light switches were broken though. The bathroom was very clean, with ample supply of towels and toiletries. The dinning area where a buffet is set up was cool, smelling good and no insects flying around. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. Very attentive service. Reasonable priced food both for the buffet and ala cart menu. Enjoyed the hotel's bar at night. The Blue Moon. Drinks and karaoke. There is no swimming pool. There is a large garden where one can eat al fresco. Overall a very good experience.

We had a great stay in Seda Davao. The location is very accessible since it's just about 20 minutes from the airport and the hotel is directly beside a mall. The staff were very courteous and approchable most especially their General Manager, Ms. Joy who welcomed us. The room was very clean and spacious, we had a good night's sleep for 2 straight nights. Special mention to Alexis of Front Office and Archie of concierge for making our stay worth remembering. The next time I visit Davao, I will definitely stay in Seda Abreeza. Daghang salamat!

There is wifi in the hotel, but at the 8th floor does not work that really There are 2 lifts, one of which does not work. Now these lifts are already dated and not really big, but this was an irritation point. At the time of our visit, there was a kind of barangay congress on the 9th floor, which resulted in we had to wait a long time until the lift arrived. There is a stairs, but clearly not intended for guests. However, a great place to stay 1 or 2 nights.

A classic hotel. A typical Philippine classic hotel like that of Pryce Plaza Hotel in Cagayan de Oro and Taal Vista in Tagaytay. It has a wide space: a compound with lawn and garden. It is an old hotel, though. You can see the years in the furnitures and amenities. But, you can go walking and nature strolling, so, overall, it's a nice, relaxing hotel resort.

The service at their hotel was exceptional. There was absolutely no issue that was not addressed timely and with satisfactory results. We were particulary impressed with how the hotel staff anticipated our needs. Numerous conference attendees commented on the quality of the food, the quality of the service and overall positive attitude toward the conference site. Particular noteworthy is the longevity of the staff and that sense of investment in the success of every event. I usually offer suggestions for improvements, but there is absolutely nothing that could be improved.

Crown Regency has dipped so low on their amenities. No hot water on the shower, TV not available when we checked into the room, noisy pipes when shower turns on, TV needs to be requested on front desk, TV has 1 channel only, no indoor slippers, broken shelves. - the whole place needs a lot of TLC and upgrading. - to start with, no airconditioning nor an electric fan available at the main lobby. - we stayed at rm. 501... the room's decor was in need of upgrading, the airconditioning system needs uograding. - there are better hotels in Tagum that offers far better accommodation for price they charge. - there are no remote key/s available for the whole hotel guest so one of their staff have to run up and down the stairs every time a guest needs access to their rooms. - we have to pay for an extra bed and guess what... we have to pay for extra towel too... ridiculous👎🏼 -But the staff were lovely though.

This was a day after Christmas overnight getaway for five families. We decided to take the speed boat ride to Club Samal. I would suggest that their speedboat pickup personnel would have a signboard indicating who they were going to pick up because he was just standing there while we were waiting for the ride. Had I not asked him if he was from Club Samal and would be picking us up, he would have just stood there for five minutes. I assume he was quite shy to be asking people in the pickup point since there were several groups there. The speed boat ride could get splashy especially if the waves are big. So I would suggest to wear comfortable clothes for the boat ride and get ready to get splashed. But I think it would still be better to take the boat ride than taking your vehicle and be tortured by the long cue of cars waiting to take the barge to cross to and from the island. The cue would take you about an hour or so to board and if you have kids with you the waiting time could be just too much for them to be cooped up in your vehicles. Club Samal is a plantation feel resort with a big white building. They have an olympic size four feet deep pool and a kiddie pool beside it. My seven and five year old grandkids even enjoyed the adult pool with our adult supervision because we were swimming with them. However, the beach was rocky and you need to be careful and wear aqua shoes to wade in it. I had a small foot cut because I was just wearing slippers and I was trying to protect my grand daughter from being cut by the corals. Our rooms were nice and clean, with a small verandah overlooking the pool, with toiletries, a couple of take home slippers (not the paper like complimentary slippers of some hotels), an outside laundry rack to hang your wet clothes and towels, complimentary coffee, complimentary hygiene kits of 2 face masks, alcohol and wipes and comfy beds. Sleep was pleasant because of the comfy beds and great air conditioning. I went to bed at ten pm and woke up early also. There is no WIFI in the rooms. Beside, I didn't want to disturb my sleeping companions so I have to connect at the lobby. WIFI is only available at the lobby. At 4am that could be a little bit weird. Food was okay and large enough for sharing. All in all we paid around ten thousand pesos for lunch and dinner for eight adults. You can charge it to your room and pay with a credit card when you check out. The breakfast buffet choices were quite limited. They had soup to heat your cold morning tummy but they didn't have pancakes. I don't know if they would serve it if you ask for it since I didn't ask (probably for an additional charge they would). Food service was good and prompt with staff whisking away your plates once you're done so you can hang around for some pleasant chit chat with your family or friends after your meal. The round hut is very classy. You will see the whole Davao Gulf iff you peek by the window. The pool's cleanliness is well-maintained. Foods are cooked and presented very well, and very delicious. Kudos to the butlers and the entire staff, who are very attentive and quick to the needs of the guests. We'll definitely visit again soon.
