Older lady in breakfast/ restaurant area is the best human being I've ever met! Friendly staff. Easy check in, especially after arriving after midnight. Quiet, clean, comfortable. Pool and gym accessibility. Parking relatively close to room entrances. Black out shades make for good sleep! 👍🏾 Relatively inexpensive. Now my go to hotel when I'm in to see family!

Pros -Seems like a recently refurbished hotel with relatively fast lifts. -Clean, large twin beds carpeted room with enough power points, iron and board, safe box, large TV, hair dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, coffee maker that can double up as kettle (flip the lid to find instructions on how to use). -Comfortable bed and pillows. -Aircon worked well (no heater) but can be slightly noisy. -Indoor heated pool and equipped gym. -Quiet and seems safe as it's away from tourist areas. -convention center connected to hotel Cons -Showerhead is fixed but good pressure, can change the water flow pattern, and easy to control water temperature/water heats up quickly. -Room can be relatively dim at night cos there are only 3 warm light lamps around. This is not a problem in the day time when sun comes in the large window. -Doors are thin so you can hear people outside talking or your neighbour if you're in a connected room. -Not much dining choices in the hotel or convention centre. Nearest fast food is 20 mins walk away -- Chick-fil-A or whataburger. Nearest open air mall or Walmart about 30 mins walk away.

The desk clerk should have alerted me to what I would experience during my two-day and night stay at this hotel. The clerk possessed a delightful personality, but in another setting, they could have passed as a homeless person... Unprofessional in dress and appearance. The building itself showed signs of wear that could be helped with at least some touch-up paint. The room was for a handicapped person and I have no need for those amenities so it felt like I was in a clinical setting instead of an inviting room for my relaxation. The room temperature was set at 72 but felt like ten degrees colder. I assumed the thermostat had been set just prior to my check-in so it would warm up in a few hours. Getting in bed shortly after arriving, I woke up in the night to discover a room that was cool enough for my arms outside the covers to feel ice cold to the touch. I had to set the thermostat at 80 degrees for the room to feel like 72 degrees. The bed itself was on the stiff side. it was an 8 on a 1-10 scale. Some people like that but my research indicates that most prefer a little softer mattress -- a 6.5. At first the TV worked fine. The second night I left for a dinner engagement so I turned off the TV. Coming back a few hours later, the TV would not turn back on. I called the front desk for suggestions. Nothing helped. I walked to the front desk thinking an in-person visit might help solve the problem. Still no solution. The next morning there was no follow-up to try to get the TV to operate. The workers at this establishment did not seem to care that I was satisfied or not with my stay. The three-star rating for this hotel should be downgraded to one star. I'm not unset. I just will never stay here again.

The hot tub was more like sitting in warm bath water and the water was murky. There is very limited seating for those not getting in the water. Our room seemed partially updated. The flooring was in poor shape. The area right inside the door is hard flooring and was incredibly sticky--like someone before us spilled a soda and wiped it up with napkins. The transition ***** to the carpet was loose and flopping around. The carpet seemed clean but looked old. The beds were newer and very comfortable but the pillows were very flat. We paid extra for breakfast to be included and were disappointed. We were in a hurry to get back on the road so opted for the buffet which was very limited. The scrambled eggs were luke warm and relatively tasteless. The only other warm options were hash browns (which we didn't try), bacon and sausage. The bacon and sausage were tasty. We had higher expectations for the hotel and the friendly staff and comfortable beds were about the only positives. We likely won't stay here again.

Staff was so kind and friendly from the moment I called for a possible reservation until the moment I checked out. The beds were extremely comfy—to the point of taking unexpected naps! Great time to relax and enjoy my time out of town. Wonderful facility. The location is convenient to campus and the mall area.

When I first entered the property it smelled just awful. It was as if everyone was smoking, and making spicy meals in their rooms. The check in agent had a difficult time understanding me, and vice versa. He took my card back into some back room for a very, very long time - I did not like that! This was a place for men that work road crews or men working in construction, most of whick didn't speak english. The real clincher came when I went to the room. I just stood there for awhile because I couldn't believe the condition of this room. It appeared as though someone has just been in the room. The toilet wasn't cleaned, the showever had hair and other items in it. The sink had water spots all over it, and the one hand towel had been used and then hung there. i retuned the key card, folded, and told the desk person that I just could not stay there - I was not about to stand there one more minute to try and get a refund. As a female solo traveler I knew I could not, would not, stay at this location. I had to find another place, which I did, thankfully there was one open room at one of the newer hotels in Hays that would accept my small dog. This was set up via ***********, I can't believe they have it as an option. I have asked them to get my money back, but doubtful that will happen. WARNING LADIES - YOU DO NOT WANT TO STAY THERE.

Booked a room for myself and two young children for 2 nights in February 2022. Requested a room on the highest floor and extra pillows as guest preferences-received neither. Requested these in advance as I knew we would utilize the sofa bed. Sofa bed had broken wood sticking out of the bottom and the mattress wouldn’t unfold flatly. Day 1- hotel pool was overcrowded and kids were throwing misc items throughout the pool area so you couldn’t even be in the pool room without having to watch your head from things flying around. Told the front desk, they said they would follow up and agreed that wasn’t appropriate, 30 minutes later, still occurring. Day 2- room toilet stopped flushing. Called and visited the front desk, was told maintenance had a lot of rooms to take care of so it would likely be a while. Asked about changing rooms and was told none were available. Emailed the contact email on the IHG app about changing rooms due to not having a bathroom available, still no response as of today. Checked out yesterday. Night 2- dog parking in the room next to ours. Called front desk twice, they said each time they would send maintenance to look into it. Could also hear a man in the room yelling at the dog to shut up. Tried to go back to sleep, woken back up at 11:45 by the dog barking and the man yelling. Called the front desk and asked about moving rooms or if they could please do something about the dog and asked if the dogs were allowed to cause a disturbance, no response about the dog but she said yes they could move me. So myself traveling alone with kids had to pack up all of our belongings and move in the middle of the night. Was told on the phone the room would be on the 8th floor. I said I didn’t think there were rooms available on 8 and she said “there have been plenty of rooms on the 8th floor available this week.” I was told at check in my preference for the top floor could not be accommodated. Had an 8 year old that couldn’t sleep after moving rooms, got to the second room and the remote to the TV didn’t work. Checkout day- was given a $20 credit to the attached restaurant for dine in only. Told the front desk we wouldn’t be able to use that, which I’m assuming was some sort of compensation for having to move rooms in the middle of the night. She said ok, we’ll take that back then. I asked if it was normal to not make the guests with the disruptive animal move rooms versus us. She said no, we usually just move whoever complains. I was exhausted from not getting much sleep either night. The kids and I each felt itchy in both beds, I couldn’t visually identify anything and we don’t have sensitive skin but it’s as enough at times to wake me up. I’m not sure what happened to the hospitality business but being offered nothing after expressing frustration at the stay multiple times by phone and in person at the front desk then even at check out being told I was moved since I was the one complaining. We arrived around 5pm. This was the last hotel of our 3 week trip. And we ended our trip with a good one. We were greeted right away by a very friendly woman. She was a good start to our visit. The hotel is fresh looking, and it has a good vibe as soon as you walk in. Very appealing to the eyes. This style of hotel is one of my favorites. A very familiar feel, similar to several hotels I have stayed at in Europe. I love it. Our room was clean, comfortable, looked good, and smelled good. Everything worked fine. A huge tv. The beds were quite comfortable. I really enjoyed this room. The area where the hotel is located has several dining options close by, along with an entertainment complex next door. And an indoor and outdoor Pickleball complex, was just across the parking lot. A very fun area. The breakfast was very good. Plenty to offer. We did not go away hungry. And yummy coffee. Everyone we had contact with at the hotel was very nice. We had a great visit. I would absolutely return.

We met at the Marriott for an 80th birthday celebration and family reunion. The rooms and suites were in pristine condition. The front desk staff was amazing and accommodating - Kaitie, Carly, Roman and Neema did an outstanding job. The breakfast and restaurant were very nice and we really appreciate our server Shannon each morning at breakfast.

There is so much I can say! We stayed in a jacuzzi suite and it was heaven! Beds are perfect and the best pillows I’ve ever slept with. Bartenders are the greatest, front desk is so helpful and housekeeping is on point with details not to mention all the fun things to do within distance!

Our tournament senior softball team stayed here. The room was not bad and was not great. I would give it a solid ”C+” rating. The free breakfast was worthless and definitely rated a D-. Another rater listed that the breakfast included ”breakfast (bagels, hard boiled eggs, waffles, microwaveable burritos to name a few)” but the only thing obvious was you-cook waffles and a few muffin/bread items. It is possible that the youth baseball teams staying here raided the food before we got to it. The front desk staff, at check in, was great, especially considering the madness of many youth baseball players running amok in the lobby and pool area. Parking was reasonable and the hotel is in close proximity to shopping and food. There are too many other good locations to stay at to warrant my wife and I staying here again.

Let me start by saying the room fridges have energy savers so, inside on right side, you need to hit the “snowflake” button. It turns fridge from slightly cool to nice and cold. It goes for two hours. You don’t have to keep hitting it but I’d hit it 1-2 times per day. Hotel was clean, well kept, comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast had 3 egg dishes, a potato scramble, oatmeal, usual bread items, waffles.

Alexandra and Kelly at the front desk are so friendly, helpful, responsive.... Those two make this hotel shine! They remembered me from past business trips and that's a good feeling. There is minimal to no street/highway noise. The water is Hot as soon as you turn it on! The bed is comfortable. The AC/Heat is pretty quiet - I've had some noise to none at all depending on the room. You ask for daily housekeeping and they don't miss a beat! The television remote has a sleep timer option and an actual tv guide - score! The lady in the kitchen (sorry I don't know her name) was always smiling. This will always be my first choice to stay when in town for business. I might change my mind if Alexandra and Kelly ever leave - just kidding - but they do make checking in fun!

Checked in to this hotel about 4:00 in the afternoon. Went to my room and found that the bathroom was all moldy and as I am very allergic to mold, I immediately went to front desk and asked to be moved. The clerk moved me down the hall to another room. This was a handicapped room, which I did not need, but I put my stuff in the room and thanked them for the room change and hurried out to go across to the hospital where my sister was in icu. When I returned that night, tired from an nine hour drive and several hours at the hospital, I was looking forward to a hot shower and bed. What I found was a shower curtain that lacked an foot or better from reaching the floor, and a shower head that squirted water all over the bathroom, so everything in the room got wet. What a mess. When I complained the next morning, I was told that that was just the way it was since I had been moved the night before. Also, they had no locked doors to the outside, so anyone could walk in or out during the night. It is a dirty, unsafe place. Wyndham needs to drop this hotel from their banner immediately. I only hope they are reading these reviews.

Using new tap card for room. Clean room with a bathtub, hot but not super hot shower water. TV set with many channels. Comfortable bed with 5 pillows. Excellent breakfast of eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy with cranberry juice, orange juice, and apple juice and good coffee. Right next door to a Denny's.

The service was great! It was an elegant setting, clean and our stay was noise free. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious! Our only concern was it was advertised as free breakffast included and it was not included. This was an added expense and inconvenience to go somewhere else that has comparable food for less.
