"Located on the back of Mount Annupuri, Niseko Mountain, Mount Eva Onupuri is 750 meters above sea level. The spring source was discovered in the Meiji period and opened in 1930. It was named because there were five kinds of iron mineral springs at that time. It is a five-color hot spring. The hot spring is one of the few acidic sulfur springs in the central area, attracting many tourists who love to bathe in the hot spring. There are two inns, the five-color hot spring hotel, the five-color hot spring hotel, and the five-color-no-sato-Niseko mountain house. Soak in the snow-white open air In the hot spring, you can see the beauty of the distant mountains, and if it is in the season of red leaves in late autumn, it will be even more beautiful."Niseko · 8.7km from downtown

Otaru Tenguyama stands at an elevation of 532.5 meters and is a premier viewpoint offering panoramic views of Otaru city. From the summit, you can see the entire cityscape of Otaru, and at night, the city lights along the coastline sparkle like jewels. This night view is considered one of Japan's top three nightscapes, alongside the views from Mount Hakodate and Mount Moiwa in Sapporo.Three Major Night Views of Hokkaidois counted as one of them. In winter, Mount Tengu is blanketed in snow, creating a romantic atmosphere. Known as a filming location for the snowy scenes in the movie "Love Letter," it attracts many fans. Breathtaking views from the mountaintop By taking the ropeway with a capacity of about 30 people, you can reach the mountaintop from the base in approximately 5 minutes. At the mountaintop, there is an observation deck offering panoramic views of Otaru's cityscape, Otaru Bay, and Ishikari Bay. On clear days, you can even see the distant mountains and Shakotan Peninsula. Additionally, the following facilities are available at the summit: · Tengukan · Otaru Ski Museum (both offer free admission) There are three observation decks around the ropeway station, each offering a different perspective of Otaru's scenery. The first observation deck is particularly popular as it allows visitors to capture both the cityscape and the ropeway in one shot. Tengu Statue and Power Spot Behind the ropeway station, there is a statue of a tengu with a long nose. It is said that touching this nose will make your wishes come true, making it a popular spot. Nearby, you'll also find the Tenguyama Shrine. The Charm of Nature and the Four Seasons Within the mountains, there is a cherry blossom tree called "Tengu Sakura," where you can enjoy taking photos with the city of Otaru and the sea as your backdrop. Additionally, tulips, German irises, chamomile, and many other flowers adorn the scenery throughout the four seasons. Additionally, at the free "Chipmunk Park," you can purchase food and experience feeding adorable chipmunks. For those who want to enjoy nature, we also recommend the walking path known as the "Mountain Top Forest Bath." This approximately 20-minute stroll may even allow you to encounter wild birds along the way. Activities At the mountaintop, there's an activity called "Tenguyama Slider" where you can slide and play on the grass (Fee: 310 yen). It's fun for both children and adults. Winter delights In winter, Mount Tengu is covered in a blanket of snow, creating a magical landscape. The foothills are open as a ski resort, offering a variety of activities that even beginners can enjoy, including snowshoeing experiences in addition to skiing. Summary Otaru Tenguyama is a captivating spot where you can enjoy breathtaking views, nightscapes, nature, and activities, making it a worthwhile tourist destination to visit year-round. A Record of My Romantic Winter Trip in January 2020~ The first day I arrived at Lake Toya was a very overcast day; the entire lake was shrouded in a gray haze, and Mount Yotei was completely invisible, but I still happily took photos for a long time, haha. The second day, the sky cleared, and the scenery of Lake Toya instantly improved several levels. The clear sky, dotted with a few small white clouds, made the lake surface appear a beautiful blue, and many, many ducklings were playing and frolicking on the lake. The distant mountain ranges and the snow-capped Mount Yotei were clearly visible—such a beautiful scene, peaceful and serene. Just sitting by the lake, gazing into the distance, and all my worries would disappear.

Mt. Yotei, according to the introduction, is located on the shore of Lake Toya in Hokkaido, 1,898 meters above sea level, and is a conical active volcano. At first glance, it looks very similar to Mt. Fuji. I took several photos of Mt. Yotei, with the blue sky as the background, clouds floating on Mt. Yotei, and unmelted ice and snow on the top of the mountain, which is quite beautiful.

Winter weather at the seaside is unpredictable; it might still be snowing down below while the mountains are bathed in sunshine. Therefore, it's best to choose a good day for your trip, especially if you plan to see the night view, as visibility needs to be excellent. The biggest characteristic of Japanese tourist attractions is their excellent management; they are generally well-organized. Furthermore, the facilities are great. There are plenty of rest areas while enjoying the scenery, and the prices for food and drinks are similar to those outside. With reasonable ticket prices, it's definitely worth a visit to Otaru.
