Downpatrick Head is a promontory in northern Mayo, Ireland, that juts into the Atlantic Ocean. Located along the Wild Atlantic Way, its flat, grassy clifftop is surrounded by steep cliffs and surging waves. Legend has it that Saint Patrick established a church here; today, the ruins of the church, a holy well, and a stone cross remain, which is how the place got its name. A distinctive view here is the Dún Briste sea stack standing near the shore, which means "broken fort" in Irish. The sea stack is tens of m high and stands just tens of m from the cliff, with its layered, colorful rock strata visible even without binoculars. The clifftop also features a massive blowhole named "Poll na Seantainne," where waves surge up from the hole. A fenced viewing platform is located nearby for safe viewing. On clear days, you can also see the Staggs of Broadhaven in the distance. In summer, the cliffs and sea stacks become a breeding ground for seabirds such as puffins, kittiwakes, and cormorants, making it a great time for birdwatching. The site also preserves a World War II coastal lookout post and stone-built markers.Mayo · 5.5km from Ballycastle

The Cliffs of Moher are located in Clare on the west coast of Ireland, stretching several km along the Atlantic Ocean as an iconic section of the Wild Atlantic Way. The cliffs, formed by layers of shale and sandstone, plunge dramatically into the sea like a sheer-cut geological textbook, recording hundreds of millions of years of sedimentary history. The southern section near Hag's Head rises over 100 m, while the northern part near O'Brien's Tower reaches over 200 m. This 19th-century round stone tower is a classic vantage point, offering views of the Aran Islands in Galway Bay on clear days. The cliffs served as a filming location for the Horcrux cave scene in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." They also host important seabird colonies, with tens of thousands of puffins, razorbills, and other birds nesting in crevices during spring and summer. Visitors often spot flocks skimming the waves, while rare wild plants grow on the clifftop grasslands. Strong winds and changeable weather are common, so it's advised to stay on official trails and behind safety barriers. For a different perspective, boat tours offer views of the cliffs and wave-carved sea caves from below.Ireland · Clare

St. Patrick's Cathedral (St.Patrick'sCathedral), located on the west side of the south bank of the Liffey River in Dublin, was established in the very ancient origin of Christianity. In the fourth century AD, Patrick, a Christian, was canonized by the Irish for his outstanding missionary achievements, and it is said that he was baptized and converted to Christianity at an ancient well here. The bell tower on the west side of the church was completed in 1370 and still houses the largest bell in Ireland. The early St. Patrick's Cathedral was built in 450 and has been rebuilt several times to its present size. In 1181 AD, after King Henry II appointed John Comyn as the Archbishop of Dublin, he began to build St. Patrick's Cathedral one after another, which continued until the end of the 14th century. Today's church was rebuilt in the 19th century. In this church, in addition to the tombstones of the early Celts, there are also important figures in the history of the founding of Ireland, including the president of the Republic of Ireland. It can be said that St. Patrick's Cathedral is as important to the Irish nation as the United Kingdom. of Westminster Abbey.Ireland · Dublin

I recommend driving there, and be sure to go on a clear day; the scenery is just as stunning as the Cliffs of Moher. If possible, rent a campervan and stay there to watch the sunrise and sunset.

The Cliffs of Moher are formed by the movement of the earth's crust and the impact of the Atlantic Ocean's raging waves. They are an unparalleled masterpiece of nature. Everyone who comes here will be impressed by its ingenuity. The highest point of the cliff is more than 200 meters above sea level. The cliff faces the vast Atlantic Ocean and is famous for its strangeness and danger. It spans 214 meters across the Atlantic Ocean and is 8 kilometers along the west coast of the Atlantic Ocean. It is spacious and vast, with strong winds. It is refreshing to climb up and look far into the distance.
