San Juan National Historic Site is an important historic site that preserves military defensive architecture from the Spanish colonial period. As San Juan is located near important Caribbean shipping routes, Spain began building fortifications here in the 16th century to protect the port and trade routes to and from the Americas. The site primarily includes Castillo San Felipe del Morro, Castillo San Cristóbal, Fortín San Juan de la Cruz, and parts of the city walls surrounding the old city. Visitors can explore the ancient forts, batteries, sentry boxes, and city walls to learn about Puerto Rico's colonial history, military defense systems, and the historical evolution of the Caribbean region.San Juan · 5.7km from Condado

Castillo San Felipe del Morro is an important part of the San Juan National Historic Site. It was built in 1539 by the Spanish colonial authorities to protect the entrance to San Juan Bay and Caribbean trade routes. Situated on a promontory jutting into the sea, it overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and the harbor, making it easy to spot incoming ships and conduct maritime defense. Over the next two centuries, it was continuously expanded and modified, gradually forming a military complex with multi-level batteries, thick stone walls, lookout positions, and defensive passages.San Juan · 5.8km from Condado

Located on the edge of the Central American Islands, La Fortaleza and San Juan National Historic Site was built in 1511 as a military base to protect the Spanish colonies and is of great strategic significance. La Fortaleza and San Juan National Historic Site is a typical military building complex that combines European military architectural styles with the actual conditions of the ports on the American mainland.

Beautiful beach, tourists in groups of three or two, lush trees, and the whole day was very relaxing here, but the sun on the beach is not small, so pay attention to sun protection, otherwise it is easy to get sunburned.
