Mount Jin is divided into the two main areas of the Jinshan (Mount Jin) Temple on the east side and the Zhong Cold Springs on the west, separated by Yiquan Road. Jinshan Temple is the main attraction. Many famous stories take place at the Jinshan Temple. Madame White Snake Bai Suzhen magically flooded the temple, and famous female general Liang Hongyu beat the war drums here and led her army in a battle that would change the course of a war. When you climb Jinshan Temple, you can look out over the Zhenjiang cityscape. The Zhong Cold Springs are a living spring where you can still see chains of bubbles coming up out of the water.Zhenjiang · 29.1km from Danyang

Xijindu Ancient Street is a place with a lot of character; it is full of old buildings with a richly historic feel. As you stroll through this ancient mountainside street, you will experience the face of the old city of Zhenjiang and sample its delicious “pot cover noodles.” The night-time scenery is beautiful. "In March when flowers bloom, head to Yangzhou." When visiting Yangzhou in spring, a trip to Slender West Lake is a must. This narrow stretch of waterway offers the perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Stroll along the banks to admire scenic views, explore historic pavilions adorned with classical poetry and paintings, or cruise the lake by boat to experience the leisurely pleasure Emperor Qianlong once enjoyed during his royal visits. The attraction is quite expansive, stretching from the Great Rainbow Bridge in the southeast all the way north along the lake to Guanyin Mountain, passing dozens of attractions along the way. There are four main entrances (east, south, west, and north), with most visitors starting their tour at the south entrance on Great Rainbow Bridge Road. This renowned lakeside garden boasts breathtaking natural views. In spring, the area is shaded by lush willows and adorned with camellias, pomegranates, azaleas, and peach blossoms, attracting visitors from across the country to enjoy the seasonal blooms. For centuries, countless literati have lingered here, composing poetry and creating paintings that left behind numerous artistic treasures and stories. The site also features many landscape structures ingeniously designed to harmonize with its natural surroundings. The Five Pavilion Bridge in Shugang Slender West Lake Scenic Area is the iconic attraction with over 200 years of history. Featuring five wind pavilions atop, each of the bridge's fifteen arches cradles a moon during full moon nights. Another renowned attraction is the Twenty-Four Bridge, inspired by Du Mu's poetic line "Where is the jade-like beauty teaching flute-playing on the moonlit Twenty-Four Bridge?" While the original bridge no longer exists, visitors can admire its reconstructed version today. This was also a stop during Emperor Qianlong's southern tours in the Qing Dynasty. Architectural views like the Great Rainbow Bridge, Slender West Lake Scenic Area's Fishing Terrace, White Pagoda, and the Twenty-Four Bridges' Xichun Platform all bear inseparable historical anecdotes connected to Emperor Qianlong. During summer nights, the illuminated pavilions and moonlit reflections on the lake create a magical atmosphere. The nightlife experience here is entirely boat-based, offering a relaxing way to beat the summer heat while enjoying gentle lake breezes.Yangzhou · 46.8km from Danyang

China Dinosaur Park is a large-scale amusement park with dinosaur culture as its theme. It is a one-stop tourist resort integrating science, entertainment, performances, accommodation and shopping. It is known as the "Oriental Jurassic". The park currently has seven theme areas, more than 50 extreme amusement projects, and various themed performances every day. It takes tourists back to the ancient and mysterious Jurassic era. As the landmark building of the China Dinosaur Park, the appearance of the China Dinosaur Museum fully utilizes the bionic architectural technique. From a distance, it seems that three dinosaurs are whispering with their heads raised high, and a plump and huge dinosaur body presents a freehand shape, which outlines the exhibition, entertainment and popular science space of the dinosaur museum. The total area of the museum is more than 20,000 square meters. The highest point of the dragon head is 71 meters, and the highest point of the dome of the museum is 36 meters. There are five main halls and six auxiliary halls in the China Dinosaur Museum. The main hall includes the atrium, exhibition hall, landscape hall, sightseeing hall and film and television hall; the auxiliary halls include the entrance hall, VIP reception hall, academic lecture hall, spare exhibition hall, roof garden, Souvenir sales house and other spaces. Each hall is connected through a logical route. Taking the history of biological evolution as the design background, the main line of the conception of dinosaurs from survival, reproduction, evolution to destruction is highlighted, revealing the profound theme that life and environment are interdependent, and humans must protect ecology and environment. Park Distribution: The Dinosaur Park is divided into the China Dinosaur Museum, Lubula, Kuksuk Grand Canyon, Magic Rainforest, Dream Manor, Adventure Port, and Crazy Dinosaur. The China Dinosaur Museum is the core venue for displaying dinosaur culture; the thrilling mechanical amusement projects are mainly in Kuksuk and Lubula. Exciting rides: Numerous high-altitude mechanical amusement projects make this place a great choice for thrill seekers: you can sit on the high-altitude swing project "Crazy Fire Dragon Drill" to experience a strong sense of weightlessness; or climb up the "Tower of Babel" to seek the thrill of a sudden drop from the air; there is also a 4D roller coaster that allows you to experience the thrill of extreme speed and flying in one second. Leisure activities: There are also relaxing and leisure activities in the park. You can visit a variety of Chinese dinosaur fossils in the China Dinosaur Museum, where you will learn about dinosaur culture. You can also participate in less thrilling amusement projects, such as the "Brontosaurus Roller Coaster", which allows you to find joy in a slightly tense environment; you can also watch musicals, magic shows, and real-life stunt performances in different venues. Water World and Night Park: Jurassic Water World brings you a refreshing and cool experience throughout the summer. The classic water projects will make you forget the heat of the whole summer. The cool water play experience will let you release all your passion. The hot performances will ignite every cell in your body. Let the children enjoy an unforgettable summer vacation. You can still play most of the projects at night. You can also experience the excitement of the giant water slide and the 30-meter impact skateboard in the water world, and you can also start a water battle in the giant water fortress (you need to buy tickets for the water world separately).Changzhou · 42.6km from Danyang

Geyuan Garden was built in the Qing Dynasty on the site of the former Shouzhi Garden of the Ming Dynasty. At the time, the garden was planted with bamboo. Because the bamboo leaves were shaped like the Chinese character for “Ge”, the garden was thus called “Ge Garden.” The four rockeries in the garden are very unique; after making it around the garden, it's as if the visitor has experienced spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Geyuan Garden is not large and can be divided into three areas: the northern bamboo viewing area, the central flower garden, and the southern residential area. Compared with other traditional Chinese gardens, the essence of Geyuan Garden lies in the art of the rockeries with the theme of the four seasons. In addition to the rockeries, walking in the northern bamboo forest is a very pleasant experience. Even during hot summer days, walking in the green bamboo forest often feels quite cool.Yangzhou · 45.9km from Danyang

A visit to Beigu Mountain is a must when in Zhenjiang! The experience exceeded my expectations, immersing me in the stories of the Three Kingdoms period. Ganlu Temple is where Liu Bei famously chose his bride. The mountain isn't very high, making the climb easy, and there are many historical sites along the way. Reaching the top of Beigu Tower offers a panoramic view of the Yangtze River, and the river breeze is incredibly refreshing, truly embodying the beauty described in poetry. It's not crowded, allowing for a leisurely stroll and exploration. The combination of natural scenery and historical narrative makes for a very interesting visit. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Zhenjiang!

It's really good! The location is excellent, and it's incredibly crowded, but that's to be expected during the holidays. The overall ticket price is a bit high, but it's worth seeing. The view from the top is great! 😂😂😂😂

Xijindu's ancient street starts uphill from Changjiang Road, with tire tracks in the middle of the stone-paved road. The brick and stone houses are old and worn, and the steps are quite steep. The Zhaoguan Stone Pagoda stands in the middle of the road, and you can pass underneath it. From the hilltop, you can see the dock and the Yangtze River; at night, the river reflects the lights. There are some old shops on both sides selling pot-lid noodles and braised pork; you can sit down and have a bowl when you're tired from walking. It's less crowded than Shantang Street, but still lively on weekends.

The most fascinating aspect of Jinshan Temple is its "temple-enclosed-mountain" design. From a distance, only the majestic pagoda and temple are visible, with the mountain itself hidden. Only upon entering does one discover that the halls and pavilions are built into the mountainside, layer upon layer, creating a unique and intriguing scene of "the mountain being enveloped by the temple." Climbing the Cishou Pagoda offers panoramic views of the Yangtze River and Zhenjiang city. The expansive river and sky, coupled with a gentle breeze, bring a sense of tranquility. Fahai Cave and Bailong Cave are imbued with a playful charm due to the legend of the White Snake, while Furong Tower and Zhongling Spring add a touch of scholarly elegance. Along the way, mythology and history intertwine. While the temple is bustling with worshippers and tourists, a visit in the early morning or evening offers a chance to experience the ancient temple's serene tranquility. Overall, it's well worth a visit, and among the three mountains of Zhenjiang, it boasts the most legendary charm.

You need to take a ferry across the river. The scenic area is very comfortable, with cats everywhere, but also a lot of mosquitoes. You can also climb to the top of the tower on the mountaintop for a panoramic view of the Yangtze River and Zhenjiang. Dinghui Temple is always very popular with worshippers.

The scenic area boasts pavilions, towers, bridges, and flowing water, creating a beautiful landscape. Weeping willows sway along the lake, and the lake water ripples gently. Attractions such as the Five Pavilion Bridge, Xu Garden, and the Twenty-Four Bridges each have their own unique features. I also enjoyed watching the live performance "More Than Just March in Yangzhou," which is highly recommended and deserves praise.

The biggest surprise of my trip to Danyang wasn't just getting a pair of satisfactory glasses, but also discovering a hidden gem of a park. Wanshan Park is located in the city center, easily accessible by bus or taxi. The park is exceptionally quiet and clean, a true paradise for birds. Various birds flew around, chirping incessantly; I even encountered one that seemed to talk! I absolutely loved Wanshan Park, and I'm so glad I didn't miss it.

Dinosaur Park is more suitable for older children, as many attractions require a height of 1.2 meters or more. Bring your kids to enjoy quality family time. Even without a baby, who isn't a little over a few hundred months old at some point? The prices inside aren't too expensive, and annual passes are also affordable. Highly recommended.

Ge Garden in Yangzhou, a private residence of a salt merchant during the Qing Dynasty, is most stunning for its four-season rockery, a unique example within the garden. Within the garden, stones are stacked to represent the four seasons, while the bamboo groves offer tranquility and a different view at every turn. The garden connects to Dongguan Street, allowing visitors to experience the local life and atmosphere after exploring the garden, making it well worth a visit.
