The Kyoto and Nara day trip was a fantastic experience. The itinerary was well-planned, covering must-see attractions such as Arashiyama, the Scenic Railway, Nara Park, Fushimi Inari Shrine, and the Bamboo Grove. Ample time was allocated at each site for sightseeing and photography, without feeling rushed. The guide was highly professional and knowledgeable, providing clear explanations. I only signed up the afternoon before, and the tour fee of 300+ RMB for a small group of nine was surprisingly good value. The itinerary was reasonable, the pace was just right, and it wasn't rushed.
The driver/guide, Nick Lee, was very friendly and attentive to detail. The bus was very clean and odor-free. Since littering in Japan is troublesome, they provided trash bags on the bus. It rained that day, and they even provided transparent umbrellas, perfect for taking photos. He provided commentary on the bus, speaking both Mandarin and English, catering to different group members. At each attraction, Nick would privately send me the meeting point and time.
Sanzen-in Temple was a delightful surprise—tranquil and healing, which I loved. The water fortune-telling at Kifune Shrine was also fun; I got a very auspicious fortune slip! Overall, I was very satisfied.★

Thank you to our tour guide, Xiao Liao. He first emailed us, clearly outlining all the pick-up details, and then, after we added each other on WeChat, he wrote out the entire itinerary in detail. He was incredibly polite and meticulous. The next morning, he was there early at the subway station with a piece of paper bearing his name on it to meet us. He provided commentary throughout the trip, switching between Chinese and English, and was very kind and friendly. We appreciated his companionship. Kudos to this hardworking and diligent young man! He made our trip even smoother and more fulfilling.★

I booked this trip for my brother and sister-in-law. They were so happy when they came back! Although I was very proud and thought I made the right choice, I didn't really know how good the tour guide was. My brother and sister-in-law kept asking me to give the tour guide a good review for the next three days 😂 Anyway, I believe they had a very enjoyable time. I am very grateful to the tour guide for taking care of my family and making them have a pleasant experience in Japan. The tour guide was Fu Shuo. I hope to meet you again on another trip to Japan next time!
