Reviews: Authentic Mengalum Island 1-day tour - optional scuba diving + optional mangrove/ multiple bases available

The boat trip takes about an hour and a half each way. Those sitting in the front are more prone to seasickness and vomiting, while those in the back avoid this problem, although the very last row is more likely to get wet. Aside from the long journey, the seawater on the island is incredibly clear. Even non-swimmers can gradually learn the ropes with the instructor's help. The product descriptions and actual products match. For those who don't want to pay extra, you can prepare your own supplies beforehand to avoid additional charges. The staff are very friendly, and the food is quite delicious. Overall, it was a good trip.

My expectations were high, so I was a little disappointed. The journey was long, but the driver's excellent skills saved us a lot of time. I don't know if we didn't choose the right language for the tour guide, but the company sent someone whose Mandarin wasn't very good, so it was a disadvantage for me since my English isn't good. Also, the suspension bridge was under construction and temporarily closed, which should have been mentioned in the itinerary (disappointing). Seeing the Rafflesia today was a memorable and happy experience.
Reviews: Kota Kinabalu Kawa-Kawa River Cruise Proboscis Monkey & Fireflies with Hi-Tea & Dinner Shared Day Tour

Wonderful experience! Well organized, wonderful guide Adeor. He told a lot, and it was very interesting. We weren't very lucky with the weather, so the sunset wasn't particularly bright, but it was still beautiful. On the river trip, we saw vars, birds, and langur monkeys, but we only saw proboscis monkeys from afar. The evening river cruise with fireflies was very touching. It's a small miracle that no photo, video, or words can do justice.

Mount Kinabalu is a must-visit in Sabah. Since it's quite far, it's easier to join a tour group. You can also enjoy paragliding and ATV rides. I bought hay for 2 Malaysian Ringgit to feed the cows. It was a wonderful experience to pick up and drop off cows so close to them for the first time.
