After a nerve racking experience trying to find the bus on a huge square and being the last ones onboard, the transport to Giverny was smooth and we got an informative stand up routine from our guide. Giverny itself was like stepping into a Monet painting. Once inside the compound we were free to explore at our own pace. I had downloaded the audio guide and tried to use it but the map function was very confusing and it was easier to just follow the crowd. Maybe I’ll go back and listen to the descriptions at a later time.★

We only wanted to visit Monet's Garden, and this half-day tour was perfect for us. We had plenty of time – two hours! The driver mentioned that unless you're hiring a car or traveling independently, you usually allow 1.5 hours, and it might be shorter when it's crowded. It wasn't too crowded this morning when it first opened. At the end of the tour, our guide, Mr. Li, recommended several French and Chinese restaurants near our drop-off point. Highly recommended for first-time or repeat visitors to Monet's Garden.★
