
▲ As one of the six major ancient towns in Jiangnan, Zhouzhuang was designated as a China Historical and Cultural Town in 2003. With a long history, it showcases the typical water town scenery of southern China and boasts unique cultural views, serving as a treasure of Chinese water town culture and Wu region's Han culture. The town preserves nearly 100 classical residences and over 60 brick-carved gate towers, maintaining its ancient charm. Additionally, it retains 14 distinctive ancient bridges. Key attractions include Shen Wansan's Former Residence, Fu'an Bridge, Twin Bridges, and Shen Hall.

▲ Tongli Town, one of the six ancient towns in Jiangnan, was formerly known as "Tongli Ancient Town." During the early Tang Dynasty, it was renamed "Tongli," and in the Song Dynasty, the old name was split into "Tongli." Established in the Song Dynasty, it boasts over 1,000 years of history as of 2015 and is a cultural ancient town of Chinese water towns. Covering 33 hectares, Tongli is surrounded by five lakes and connected by 49 bridges, with a network of rivers dividing the town into seven islands. Every household in the ancient town is by the water, with boats accessible to all. Bridges from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties remain well-preserved. In 1995, it was listed as a Jiangsu Provincial Historical and Cultural Town. Tuisi Garden is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Tongli's layout, shaped by water, features interconnected households and waterways, creating a picturesque and layered landscape. Since ancient times, poets and scholars have praised its beauty endlessly.
