I booked in advance and got a good deal. You need to arrive at least 30 minutes before your reserved time to get your ticket! If you are late, you won't be able to use the QR code and will have to repurchase it there. Seats are assigned near the entrance after you get your ticket! Make sure to book in advance to save money~★

I booked first class; it's a bit more expensive, but well worth it. You'll be escorted straight to the second floor. The journey will be quiet, with snacks and coffee. Drinks are available. All amenities are on the same floor. You're let out first, which is very convenient.★

Hassle free and wonderful experience. Booked the bus tickets the night before and our guide Christina whatsapped the meeting point details shortly after. She gave us a good overview of mutianyu, recommended routes, booked the admission tickets, cable car ride and shuttle bus and arranged lunch for us. Thereafter we were free to climb the Great Wall at our own pace. Many parts of the climb were steep so wear proper shoes. Challenging but a great experience!
