Jose was a great guide. The scenery was incredible. I also learned a lot of history about Spain and the Basques.
Reviews: From Bilbao: Gaztelugatxe, Bermeo and Gernika Day Trip
Guest User2026-03-30
This was a great trip and our guide Igor made it so much better. He was interesting to listen to and made me feel relaxed about asking questions. He was also spontaneous, stopping the bus to explain why children were running through the streets. He was encouraging and supportive at Gaztelugatxe. This is quite a walk but individuals can decide how much to do. At Bermeo we went with him to a restaurant and we spoke about Basque food. It was great. At Gernika we spent most of our time in the museum. Well worth the visit. This was a very enjoyable day out.

The Guggenheim itself was interesting, but I was too tired for the exhibitions.
