Your driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby in Chengdu for a comfortable ride to the Panda Base.
8:00 AM / 1:30 PM – Arrive at Chengdu Panda Breeding Center
Stroll through the beautiful bamboo forest paths of the Panda Base. Chengdu Panda Breeding Center is a non-profit research and breeding facility for giant pandas and other rare animals. Spend half a day with the cutest, yet impressive, creatures in China! 3 hours inside the Panda Center, tour through the baby and adult panda areas. Visit different sections of the center to get a full overview of a panda's development. Visit the baby garden, where you can see giant panda cubs born in summer, which weigh only about 3.5 ounces (100 grams) at birth and by the third month are able to walk on their own. Then stop at the sub-adult garden, where the adolescent pandas hang out, and see the adult garden, which houses the giant pandas in all their full-grown glory. Take pictures of this endangered species eating bamboo, sleeping or frolicking about. Walk through the red panda habitat to see these playful, tree-climbing animals up close. Learn about panda conservation, breeding programs, and research efforts.
11:00 AM / 4:30 PM – Depart for Hotel
After an incredible panda experience, back to your private air-conditioned vehicle and back to your hotel.
