Reviews: Fireflies & Blue Tears Night Tour with Seafood Delight
Guest User2026-02-10
The tour was well planned, the guide/driver was excellent, he told us a lot, and since the group was from different countries, they played songs for us according to their countries, which was very nice. They fed us a delicious lunch and took us to see fireflies and blue tears of plankton. We were lucky, we saw it all. You have to be careful with the monkeys' makeup, though; they're cute, but they can scratch you.

A very eventful tour. 6 locations in one day. We especially enjoyed: the mirror, the monkeys, and the plankton. A good, responsible guide. I recommend him 👍👍👍🐒
Reviews: Kuala Selangor Fireflies and Blue Tears One Day Tour with Dinner

The nature of Kuala Lumpur is just charming. Langurs are funny and friendy. The fireflies and Blue Tears are a kind of magic! You even cannot imagine they are real. The tour was well-organized, the guide is friendly and helpful. The dinner was really good.
Reviews: Kuala Selangor 1-day tour to watch eagles, fireflies, and Blue tears (includes boat ticket)

The driver was great. It's crucial to coordinate the itinerary carefully. Taking the 6:30 PM boat ensures a stunning sunset view 🌇. Since you're going to see the bioluminescent plankton and fireflies anyway, arriving early will only mean waiting. Avoid mealtimes; we bought McDonald's on the way back – McDonald's and Musang King durian are the cheapest options in Malaysia 😂. Mount Royal is also worth a visit; the monkeys are incredibly mischievous.
Reviews: Kuala Selangor (Official Jetty) Sky Mirror Kuala Selangor Eco Adventure (includes boat ticket and Sky Mirror photography)

I took a tour that included the Sky Mirror and temple. The reflections in the Sky Mirror were even more beautiful than in photos. Instead of a professional photographer, the staff took photos with their smartphones, but they were used to it and took beautiful photos. I was very satisfied. Because it was untouched nature, crabs and small fish swam past my feet. It was a truly amazing experience. To get there, you take a 20-minute small boat ride. This might be a bit difficult for elderly people or pregnant women. The only problem was the tour that included the monkey park and temple. I booked a private car, which was a little more expensive than the group tour, but they forgot to visit the temple. Even though we had time, we were given a driver who just drove around without any special instructions and was unmotivated. The Sky Mirror and temple were great.
Reviews: Kuala Lumpur Sky Mirror + Monkey Hill + Eagle Feeding + Fireflies + Blue Tears – Private Eco Adventure Tour

The tour is good, I recommend it, but there are a lot of nuances. The boat to the Mirror of the Sky departs at 10:00 a.m., and low tide on the shallows lasts about an hour and a half. The photos are truly magical, but you spend an hour and a half walking through the mud among swarming shellfish. A Chinese girl stepped on a thorny shell and hurt her foot; shoes are not allowed. The next visit—an Indian temple closed for renovations—takes five minutes. The monkey mountain is a real challenge. Don't even think about feeding the monkeys; they'll pounce right away. One snatched a child's slipper and stole it, they caught up with her, and then returned it. It's a dangerous sight to be among hundreds of monkeys. The cannons—they're nothing to see at all, just metal cylinders, no idea what they're for. As a bonus, we were taken to the wishing tree—interesting. The huge tree is all tied up with ribbons. Next to it is a beach covered in shells, and the kids were happy. The next part of feeding the eagles—nonsense. We wait until 7:15 PM and go see the fireflies. It would be beautiful, if it weren't for the boat races in the semi-darkness. They start racing each other—it's scary.
