Day 1: Chengdu to Hailuogou
Embark on a scenic drive to Hailuogou via the Chengdu-Luding Expressway, enjoying the picturesque views along the Dadu River. Arrive in Moxi Town around noon and transfer to the Hailuogou Glacier Park via park bus. It's approximately a 1-hour journey to the No.3 Camp station. You have the option to take a leisurely 2-hour walk through the forest to the viewing platform or opt for a cable car ride to No.4 Camp to marvel at the breathtaking glaciers, ice mushrooms, ice pagoda forests, and ice waterfalls. Overnight accommodation will be at the Jinshan Photography Hotel in No.3 Camp.
Day 2: Hailuogou Glacier to Kangding to Xinduqiao
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over Mount Gongga from the hotel's viewing platform. Then, catch the bus back to Moxi Town and begin your drive to Kangding City and Xinduqiao Town. En route, you'll have distant views of Honghai Lake, Mount Gongga, and Mount Yala. Overnight stay will be in Xinduqiao Town.
Day 3: Xinduqiao to Tagong Grassland to Danba
Start your day with an early morning drive to Tagong Grassland via Xinduqiao. Visit the Tagong Monastery and the Muya Institute at the Tagong Grassland. In the afternoon, drive to Danba to view the Yala Holy Mountain and Donggu Yak Gorge. Overnight stay will be at a Tibetan inn in Jiaju Village, Danba.
Day 4: Danba to Shuangqiao Gorge Park
Begin your day with sightseeing at the Jiaju Tibetan Village, then drive to Shuangqiao Gorge, which is about a 2-hour journey. After lunch, visit Shuangqiao Gorge. Post-park, drive to the viewing platform to witness the sunset over the Four Girls Mountain. If the weather is favorable, you might be treated to the spectacular sight of the golden mountain peaks. Overnight stay will be in Siguniangshan Town.
Day 5: Siguniangshan Town to Wolong Panda Reserve to Chengdu
Drive back from Siguniangshan Town via the Wolong Panda Reserve, where you can visit the adorable giant pandas. Then, continue your journey back to Chengdu along the Minjiang River. Overnight stay will be in Chengdu city.
