How to use

No need to print the e-ticket voucher, simply present the mobile e-ticket for travel; Address: Whale Watch Kaikoura, The Whaleway Station Whaleway Road, Kaikoura

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your reserved time slot for check-in.

Change & cancellation policies

If a cancellation request is submitted before 00:00, 5 day(s) prior to the date of use, no cancellation fee will be charged.

If a cancellation request is submitted after 00:00 5 day(s) before the date of use, a fee of 100% will be charged.

If a discount is applied, the cancellation fee will be calculated based on the original price before the discount and will not exceed the amount paid.

Partial refund is not available.

Important note

Age Policy: Children aged 3-15 are charged the child price. Children under 3 years old cannot participate in this tour. Guests aged 16 and above are charged the adult price. Children must be accompanied by an adult when booking and traveling. The whale watching tour depends on the ocean and weather conditions on the day of the tour. The captain will announce whether the tour will proceed 10 min before check-in. If the wind and waves are too strong, the supplier reserves the right to adjust the minimum age for participation for safety reasons.
[Group Travel] If you're traveling with friends, please make sure to book together in the same booking to avoid sold-out situations that might prevent you from traveling together.
The whale sighting success rate for the whale watching tour is as high as 95%. If no whales are spotted, we guarantee an 80% refund.
Please select your preferred departure time when placing the order, as departure time slots during peak season tend to fill up quickly. The final departure time will be as indicated on your e-ticket.
If you fail to attend the trip at the agreed time and location, it will be considered as automatic forfeiture and the full amount will be charged.
All itineraries are subject to local conditions. Due to weather, road conditions, or other factors, we reserve the right to adjust the itinerary accordingly. Guests may not request compensation for such adjustments. Please be advised!
In Kaikoura, people can observe the resident sperm whale population all year round. December to March is the season for orcas, while humpback whales can be spotted in June and July.
The Kaikoura Whale Watching Office provides free multilingual whale watching brochures, including simplified and traditional Chinese versions, available for self-service.
There are ample free parking spaces available for guests in front of the Kaikoura Whale Watch office.
If you experience seasickness or are unsure whether you might, it is recommended to take motion sickness medication before boarding. The whale-watching company's gift shop or local pharmacies in town also sell these medications.
No food or snacks are sold on the sightseeing boat, but you are welcome to bring your own. Ginger-infused drinks and food can help alleviate seasickness.
When heading to the whale sighting area, the boat moves at high speed, so everyone needs to stay seated inside the cabin. When whales appear, you can still see them through the cabin windows.
It is recommended to bring warm clothing, sunscreen, a camera, and sunglasses.
