A super satisfying trip! The weather was fantastic too; the driver said it was the best weather in recent days—lucky us! I finally got to ride the steam train I'd been dreaming of and saw the world's smallest blue penguin, only about 33cm tall 🐧—so cute and adorable! The driver's route and sightseeing time were well-planned. Besides ensuring our safety, he also acted as our guide, explaining the background and history of each stop. A perfect experience 💯—absolutely fantastic!★

Reviews: Optional Mercedes-Benz 499] Melbourne Puffing Billy Railway + Penguin Parade Phillip Island 1-day tour

Our trip during the National Day holiday was quite unpredictable in Melbourne's spring weather.
The trip to Phillip Island was a bit late, around 10 am to 10 pm, perfect for those who love to sleep in.
The little train wasn't fast, and the journey was long regardless of whether it was sunny or cloudy. Phillip Island (and its penguins) is quite weather-dependent; on sunny days, the beach scenery was incredibly soothing, and it wasn't too cold to see the little penguins at night.
We arrived at a good time; the weather was suddenly sunny and breezy when we got to Phillip Island! We managed to take pictures of the chubby little penguins and the Australian specialty grey geese during the day.
The driver was very talkative throughout the trip, covering topics from farms to koalas, penguins, and Australian seafood. Everyone on the bus was very punctual, so we didn't waste any time.★

Reviews: [Explore Australia] Phillip Island Penguin Parade & Wildlife Day Tour

Pick up was at Mail Exchange Hotel and bus arrive 12:15pm. Easy to spot the purple bus and Brooke is our tour guide. She is super friendly and optimistic on introducing the island. Ride is 1 hour to Moonlit sanctuary. Not recommended to buy kangaroo food as they are full from feed in the morning and stay mostly restricted area. Few Wallabies came to the fence and they are cute. There are a lot of birds around the park and they come chasing after you. After that we went to Nobbies (don't attempt to eat anything here or the birds will come snatching). After that we went to Phillip penguin parade at 7pm. The penguins came home at 8pm and recommended to go straight to the boardwalk once they come up. You can see clearly there. Dont forget to bring some food that you will like to eat along the route. It's a 2 hour ride back to city and we back to mail exchange hotel at 11:30pm. Nice trip!★
