This is a solid one-day activity to experience the Kazakh outdoors. We went to 5 sites, including a ride on an old Soviet bus and a pony, with a delicious lunch at a local home. If you have more time, stretching it to a two-day trip with an overnight stay in a yurt would probably be better but if you only have a day to spare, do this. We had a pleasant guide, Naz, and driver and they managed a packed day without us feeling too rushed.

We had a great experience doing this tour with Nursultan, our guide for the days in Almaty. The Charyn Canyon is a very beautiful and huge place, a little bit far from Almaty, but perfectly suitable for a day trip. I was with my wife and kids (7 and 3 years old) and we do recommend it! Don't forget to take your flip-flops and swimsuits, because the water is very inviting in the end of the track.

He gave clear explanations about the lake, the surrounding mountains which made the visit feel educational as well as fun. Adam was friendly, attentive, and always ready to answer our questions. He made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable and safe, and his positive energy kept the group motivated throughout the tour. Thanks to his guidance, we were able to fully enjoy the stunning views, take great photos, and learn a lot about the area. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a well-organized and memorable trip to Big Almaty Lake!

The trip was amazing!!! Tour guide was on time , very helpful and a fun person who made the tour 100x excellent. Its cheaper than other tour, but the service was perfect. He made sure we had great time, bought us chocolate. Told us to join in the activities which made it hard to forget. It worth it, he took care of us and lets us have fun while ensure we got to dance/cook/ride horses as well. The tour took only half day which was the best since we came down from 3days in shymbulak and so tired already and wanted a free and easy day for nomadic tour. So choosing this tour with him made the trip wholesome and fun. Never regret. Pls choose this. Worth every single cents!!


