He led us on an in-depth tour of the Temple of Heaven, from the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and the Echo Wall to the Garden Mound, eloquently explaining the wisdom and historical culture of the ancient architecture in a clear, engaging, and accessible way. Even though we encountered heavy rain, Mr. Li's enthusiasm remained undiminished. Melonie was amazing, no complaints at all. Even though the weather was not ideal, she kept her cool, and was very nice to everyone. The meeting point was easy to find, she sent very thoughtful instructions on WhatsApp before our visit. We connected on WeChat so if someone got lost they could call her and if we had any questions she answered patiently. She sends additional info on what to see, where to go, where to eat etc.

We went on a group tour; there were about 20 of us. Because of the rain, there were fewer people, but still a lot. However, we quickly bought tickets, and our first group headed off with a very young guide, Alina. She studied Russian in China and also visited St. Petersburg for six months, and today she gave her first tour! So, I'd really like to commend her, as she has a pretty good Russian accent. Of course, she mixes up our endings, but I'm sure with some practice she'll become more confident in our difficult Russian. We understood everything throughout our short tour. In fact, the tour itself was supposed to be 2 hours long (covering the history of the landmark), but the tour itself and the history were over in about 40 minutes, and then there was free time, as they say. Honestly, the tour was dry, literally: "The emperor lived here, and the empress was here, they ate here, they rested here." Add more interesting historical facts
