Reviews: Dunedin Nature & City Tour – Full Day Cruise Excursion

The route was well planned, with interesting stops. The only thing I didn't like was that the guide and driver were the same person. At times, it was difficult for him to both drive and tell the story, even though he tried. The bus was large, but we managed to see everything, but we didn't get much information.

Our driver/tour guide, Jeff, was excellent. He packed so much into the tour taking us to the prettiest parts of a very pretty city in Dunedin. Jeff explained the history of the various places we visited from the dormant whale trading through the Edinburgh like university and the glorious historic train station culminating with ninety minutes at the castle. The bus was perfect for our tour size, Jeff's banter and dry Kiwi humour along with both his deep knowledge and pride in the area made this a great event for us. You cover a lot in Dunedin in the time available and Jeff ensures you are back at the port well before departure.

Alan is knowledgable on Dunedin and history of NZ. He is very informative. He also drove with care with 18 of us in a mini bus. A lot of getting in and out of bus to visit places. Also had about an hour of free time around Dunedin town centre for a quick lunch and some souvenir shopping. If you are arriving on a cruise ship, they can only enter the wharf to meet you 15mins before the actual meet time. They will have a sign for Iconic Tours. This tour picks up and drops off at the wharf which saves you $30 on a return shuttle.
Reviews: Dunedin: Wildlife and Penguin Tour

Very well organised. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave a great continuous commentary on the transport bus which made good use of the time. Wet weather costs are offered if you didn’t have suitable ones if your own. Visit to see rehabilitation centre was great, with three different penguins present at the time. No penguins unfortunately seen coming ashore, but we did see a couple of Little Blue inside their nest boxes, along with New Zealand sea lions / seals very close up. Great. Would definitely recommend.
Reviews: Otago Peninsula In-Depth Tour & Blue Penguins Pukekura Experience

Had a beautiful tour of the Otago peninsula followed by the incredible experience seeing Kororā/Little blue penguins coming in from the sea for the night. They are so cute and you get to see them really close from the platform. It was our first time seeing penguins in the wild and it was a real bucket list experience. Our guide Dani was fantastic, we learnt loads about the penguins and other local wildlife
