Reviews: Son Tra Peninsula, Marble Mountain and Hoi An Ancient Town Group tour: Depart from Da Nang
Guest User2026-02-07
This half-day tour was booked on short notice; I booked it as soon as I landed in Da Nang that morning, and we departed promptly at 1:30 PM. Although it was only half a day, we visited quite a few places. First, we went to Son Tra Peninsula, where the sea view from the mountain was quite nice; taking a taxi would have cost a lot. Then we went to Marble Mountains, which are mainly caves and not very high. The English-speaking guide had a heavy Southeast Asian accent, but it was still understandable, and he was very enthusiastic, leading us through the entire tour. Next, we went to Hoi An. It felt quite late when we arrived, so after dinner, we only had a little over an hour left to explore, just enough for taking photos. However, the fellow travelers we met along the way were all very interesting; we helped each other, chatted, and took photos, making it a fun and memorable trip.

Here's a photo of the shop where you can pick up your ticket. It's less than 10 meters from the actual scene depicted on the back of the 20,000 Vietnamese Dong banknote; you can't drive in by car. The ancient town has a great atmosphere. Let's Go Travel and Boat Lantern Tour—this is the English address I got from the taxi fare shown to me based on the Vietnamese address provided by the shop owner.

Reviews: Nha Trang-Da Nang/Hoi An Route (And vice versa): Sleeping Bus, Cabin and Private Transfer BY GO365

We traveled on the night of March 9-10. First, we had to arrive at the check-in counter and print out our ticket. Afterwards, I'll pick you up at the miniliner and take you to the bus. The ride was about 25 minutes, a bit tense, and we finally reached the bus stop. At first, they gave us the wrong bus number, but the issue was quickly resolved through WA. The bus itself was exactly as described. Of course, it's more comfortable if you bring your own pillow, as even a traveler's neck pillow is not comfortable at all. The bus travels really fast, but it honks frequently (especially closer to the city). There were stops because the drivers were transporting something and handing it off to someone on the street. Otherwise, it's quiet; it's great if no one snores. It's much more affordable than a plane, which costs 7 rubles per person. But you need to remember that a bus is not a bed, and if you have trouble sleeping on flights or trains, you'll have the same problem on a bus.
Reviews: Da Nang/Hoi An Cham Island Day Trip | Chinese Language Available | Speedboat + Snorkeling + Lunch + Scuba Diving (optional)

It's only about 200 yuan per person. Why would you need a tractor? The trip was excellent.

Everything was great! Beautiful. I just didn't have enough time on the beach (after snorkeling and lunch).
