A rather unusual experience, a very magical and beautiful location with hot springs where monkeys live (absolutely calm and do not pay attention to people), but be mentally prepared for a long journey (4 hours one way).★

Everything about this tour was impressive and our guide had expert knowledge of all places we visited. I really enjoyed the Buddhist Temple, Lunch, Sake tasting and a magical walk through the forest to see the monkeys. I guess I enjoyed everything, yep.★

The overall itinerary was somewhat rushed due to Japanese driver service time regulations. The Takayama leg of the trip was particularly tight, mainly because completing a meal and a full visit to the Takayama Jinya (traditional Japanese houses) within two hours was quite strenuous. Two hours was more than enough for the Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri village. The tour guide was very professional and nice, and his explanations were quite interesting. The group members came from all over the world, with mainland Chinese tourists making up about 10%, making it a very international team.★
