Navagio Beach Viewpointis located on the northwest coast of Zakynthos, Greece, and is a classic spot for enjoying a panoramic view of Navagio. With its open view and elevated position, you can take in the entire outline of the bay, the white pebble beach, the rusted shipwreck, and the rich, layered shades of blue water. Looking down from near the viewpoint, the bay is surrounded on three sides by nearly vertical white limestone cliffs. The massive cliffs rise from the coast, showcasing a rugged and spectacular landscape. Below the cliffs, a white pebble beach stretches along the bay, and the shipwreck, stranded for years, rests quietly on the shore. The rusted hull creates a striking contrast with the surrounding pristine natural scenery. The charm of the viewpoint also lies in the changing light and shadows throughout the day. On clear days, the sunlight makes the colors of the water even more vibrant, and the white cliffs and blue sea create a strong contrast, making it perfect for taking classic panoramic photos.Elation · 36.6km from Argostolion

Blue Caves Zakynthos

4.4/5
35 reviews
Blue Caves Zakynthosare a series of natural sea caves along the coastline and one of the island's iconic natural landscapes. Devoid of artificial embellishments, the site relies on its peculiar rock formations, crystal-clear water, and dreamy blue light to create a visual experience that feels like stepping into a fairy tale. What makes this place so fascinating is the ever-changing blue light within the caves. Sunlight enters through the cave openings near the water's surface, passes through the crystal-clear water, and reflects off the light-colored limestone seabed, creating a unique optical effect. Because water absorbs different wavelengths of light to varying degrees, red and orange light gradually fade, while blue light becomes more prominent, making the cave walls, water, and rocks appear as if they are bathed in layers of blue light. The interior landscape is equally distinctive. The light-colored rock walls, eroded by waves over the years, have formed irregular natural textures, while the arched ceilings and undulating rock surfaces cast soft shadows on the water.Elation · 32.9km from Argostolion

Navagiois located on the northwest coast of Zakynthos, Greece, and is one of the iconic natural views on the Ionian Sea. The bay is surrounded on three sides by towering, steep cliffs and faces the vast open sea, forming a secluded coast that feels like a hidden paradise. The breathtaking scenery here is defined by the massive white limestone cliffs that surround the beach. The cliffs rise nearly vertically to a height of about 200m, displaying rugged and layered textures shaped by years of erosion from sea winds and waves. The stark white cliffs contrast sharply with the fine, light-colored sand in the bay, outlining a natural crescent-shaped coast. Standing in the bay and looking up, it feels as if you are in a massive open-air theater carved by nature, which is both spectacular and serene.Elation · 36.8km from Argostolion

The canal is approx. 6 km long, the waterway is at sea level with no locks, showcasing the ingenuity of its construction and adding a breathtaking sight to the coastal landscape of Greece. The canal cuts deep into the ground from the surface, forming a narrow and straight gorge, with limestone cliffs on both sides rising nearly vertically, tens of meters above the water.Greece · Loutraki-Perachora

Having seen many seas, I'm completely captivated by the fluorescent blue of Shipwreck Bay 🌊. Shipwreck Bay truly is a must-see destination. Having traveled to so many countries, I've never seen such a blue sea before. That refreshing, fluorescent blue goes straight to the soul, a truly breathtaking sight. It's not just about the distant view from the observation deck; a visit to Shipwreck Bay isn't complete without a boat trip. Only by boat can you get up close to the white cliffs, the beach, and the rusty shipwreck. The journey also takes you through the Blue Grotto, where the water shimmers with a clear, deep blue, with light and shadow shimmering on the surface—another kind of stunning experience. The observation deck has a long walkway. There's a queue at the first viewing point, mainly for panoramic views of Shipwreck Bay. The second and third viewing points are on the same platform. The third point always has a long queue, with everyone waiting to stand on that pillar for a photo with themselves and Shipwreck Bay in the frame. The second viewing point doesn't have a long queue; just walk along the walkway to the left to directly enjoy the stunning seascape of Shipwreck Bay. Ideally, visit in the afternoon when the sunlight shines on the sea, making the fluorescent blue waters crystal clear and breathtaking. ⚠️Useful Tips 1. The viewpoint is located on the edge of a cliff, and the ground is uneven. Please be extremely careful when taking photos close to the edge. 2. The viewpoint only offers an overview. To see the beach, shipwreck, and Blue Grotto up close, you must take a small boat out to sea. 3. A boat trip can combine a visit to Shipwreck Beach and the Blue Grotto, allowing you to experience the core Zakynthos seascape in one trip.

Blue Grottoes, as the name suggests, refer to those blue caves that automatically emit blue light. However, I almost missed seeing them. The Greek sea is a beautiful, azure blue. However, you have to take a speedboat to find a deeper blue in this azure sea. There is such a place at the northernmost corner of Zakynthos Island. Turn into the cave and look down carefully through the transparent deck at the bottom of the boat. The bright blue is deeply imprinted in my mind...

Did Korean dramas make this place popular? Fortunately, I went there before. However, because this is not a conventional beach with convenient transportation, it is basically reached by boat. Generally speaking, there are not many people. There is no commercial development here. There are no services such as drinks, meals and sunshades, so tourists will not stay for too long. For this reason, the sand and stones on the beach are all original, not the kind of very fine artificial sand. However, although it is not big and cannot provide additional services, it is still one of the most beautiful beaches, especially in sunny weather, it is so beautiful

The attraction is free. Standing on the bridge, you can see through both ends. There is a tourist service point at the bridge head. The canal is spectacular and worth visiting, but it is relatively narrow and has little shipping value. I bought some Greek specialties and a few knives in a nearby specialty store. Two of them were confiscated by the airport, which was quite a pity.
