What we liked most were the explanations from our guide, Fatima. She was very engaging and it was clear she knew what she was talking about. After the tour, she took us for snacks, and we loved the food and the place. I couldn't say what I liked least, but if I had to mention something, it was very hot; perhaps the tour could have started a little later.

Only through my own ingenuity was I able to allow my disabled son (class II) to touch the Black Madonna, something the tour organizers hadn't provided (I got tickets at the ticket office without any problems, even though the guide, when asked, said they couldn't be purchased). The guide was very nice and gave us interesting stories, but mostly on the bus, giving us almost complete free time in Montserrat (even to the church at 1:30 PM – after a brief introduction in the courtyard, we entered on our own). People were disappointed because the miraculous statue is so high up that even when they walked up to the chancel, they could barely see it, and they didn't have a separate ticket, like my son and I, which cost only a few euros. Furthermore, we were supposed to go up by cable car (that was the offer), but we took the tram. And we had to return at 3 p.m. because "people wouldn't make it in time for dinner" (in the hotel where we stayed, dinner was until 9:30 p.m.), so we didn't have time to climb up, even by the shorter route.
