Reviews: A City Tour Of Samarkand: The Pearl Of The East

We really enjoyed the tour. They took us around for four hours, showing us all the main sights. They told us about legends and facts, and showed us photos of places that weren't even on the tour itinerary.

This was a great day trip. Since it is less famous than Seven Lakes, the guide will change the locations to suit the participants. Highly recommend.
Reviews: Day Tour to Shahrisabz of Amir Timur

Islom was a very good and attentive guide...brought us to some of the best lamb restaurant on our way to Shahrizadz...and later brought us to visit his home and meet his family....a first for us being in a local uzbek home...the famiky entertained us and even prepared awesome filaf dish and fresh fruits fron their farm..was a really nice and pleasant experience. We also met Isloms wife Sitora and his son Usman, as well as parents and his entire family members. We even had the opportunity to meet the newlyweds in Isloms family (Jasmina and Husabnd) and it was nice to see the cultural wedding dress worn by Jasmina which was elegant and splendid. Truly was an experience and the hospitality by the family was very nice.

The trip was amazing. Our driver Javlon picked us up from our hotel on time and the ride to and from Shahrisabz was safe and comfortable. Our guide Mrs Firuza was fabulous. She spoke fluent English. She grew up in Shahrisabz and so knew a lot about the place and the people. She was passionate to tell us interesting stories about the monuments and history. She showed us the local life and helped us interact with the locals. I would highly recommend this trip.

I would thoroughly recommend this day tour. My driver and guide, Zarshed, was knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging about the people and history of every location we visited, and spending the day with him became just as much a part of the cultural experience. And I’ve never had a better-value meal (with stunning views) than at Katta Tosh Tandiri on the way back. As for what others have mentioned about the guided tour pricing versus simply hiring a taxi — there’s no comparison. Paying $130 for a very full and stress-free day was far better than dealing with taxi spruikers.
