Costa del Sol

Costa del Sol is a stretch of resort coastline along the Mediterranean in Malaga Province, extending from Nerja in the east to the Manilva area in the west, spanning over 100 km. The coast gets its name from its climate, which is sunny most days of the year. Vacations here can be very slow-paced: take a walk along the seaside promenade or go for a swim during the day, and at noon, head into a beachside eatery to order a skewer of charcoal-grilled sardines—locals thread the sardines onto thin skewers and grill them over a wood fire. Many eateries even use old fishing boats filled with sand as grills right on the beach. Paired with an iced drink, this is a quintessential dining experience on this coast. In the evening, you can explore the old town of Marbella and wander through the white-walled alleys around the Plaza de los Naranjos. Golf is another highlight here, with a high density of courses along the coast.Mijas · 26.7km from Malaga

Located in Malaga, The Alcazaba is an important military fortress from the Islamic period and serves as evidence of the long-standing Islamic presence here. Built in the mid-11th century, it extensively utilized columns and stone materials from the adjacent Roman theater during its construction, and was extensively rebuilt by the Nasrid dynasty in the 14th century. Today, it is one of the best-preserved Alcazabas in Spain. The entire fortress consists of nested inner and outer walls. To reach the palace area, one must pass through multiple gates and a deliberately winding uphill path; this "zigzag" entrance is the essence of its original defensive design. In theheart of this fortress, the southern wing of the 11th-century old palace retains horseshoe arches and carved arcades, while the Nasrid palace area is centered around the Courtyard of the Orange Trees and the Courtyard of the Reflecting Pool, where glazed floor tiles complement the fountains, capturing the full charm of Islamic-style courtyards.Malaga · 481m from downtown

Malaga Beach has a long coastline of 14 kilometers. This sea area has plenty of sunshine and soft sand, so it is popular with tourists from all over the world. Mahaiga Beach is warm all year round and can go to the sea 10 months of the year. In February, it is still the warmer place in southeastern Spain, so it is also a famous cold shelter in Europe. The beach here is open on weekends from 10am to 8pm. At night, someone will clean the beach, so there is no doubt about the cleanliness of the beach, and you can enjoy it with confidence. Just a reminder that there are no changing rooms on the beach, just showers without any cover.Malaga · 1.7km from downtown

The Gibralfaro Castle was built in the fourteenth century to accommodate the army to protect the castle of Malaga. Today it is one of the most popular places of interest in Malaga. Standing on its ramparts, you can see a beautiful and sultry panorama of Malaga, and you can also enter its cultural center to learn about its history. It takes its name from the lighthouse on the top floor (Jabal-Faruk, Hill of Lighthouses). Although it was the Phoenicians and Romans who started to establish settlements here, in 1340 the Nasr king YusufI (Yusuf I) turned the place into a castle.Malaga · 914m from downtown

There are nearly 10,000 seats here, which shows that it was grand and luxurious. Although it is now a broken wall, but standing here, you can still feel the magnificent momentum. If you come here at sunset, there are not many people, sitting on these ancient steps, bathing in the exotic spring breeze, especially comfortable!Malaga · 396m from downtown

The Costa del Sol, located on the Mediterranean coast of Andalusia in southern Spain, is renowned for its abundant sunshine, long beaches, and vibrant resort atmosphere, making it one of Europe's most popular seaside resorts. With a coastline of approximately 150 kilometers, it enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate with over 300 sunny days a year. Its most unique feature is not only its beautiful and spectacular beaches but also its rolling hills. Visitors can lazily sunbathe, read, or surf on the beach, or simply walk across the main street and hike through the mountains filled with pine trees, broom, and rosemary. Furthermore, it boasts numerous historical sites and scenic spots!

Akasaba Castle is a highland in the old city of Malaga. It's free to go, climbing slowly along the mountain road, with mottled walls and pleasant scenery outside. Standing at a high altitude, overlooking Malaga's bullfight and coastline, it is refreshing. Continuing up, through the Islamic garden, we reached the interior of the castle and looked out from the castle window like a picture. The castle is generally reserved, the interior is no longer exquisite, but there are a lot of utensils used at that time can be visited. It's interesting that the castle is so intricate that it inadvertently loses its way in the room.

Malaga Beach is the most famous beach here. In fact, there is no commercial development here. The scenery here is very gorgeous, with beautiful sunsets and a calm beach. It is really worth walking on this beach after dinner.

The castle is very beautiful. Although it has been renovated, it is still very simple. The very slow pace of life and the strong Mediterranean style make people just want to stop and appreciate this romantic Mediterranean scenery.

I had one of the worst experiences with my family. The owners have oversold tickets, and it's over the parks capacity. It took over an hour and a half to que up for each ride. There wasn't any information on wiatikg times nor ckear signs of height restrictions at the start of the queues. The staff were rude and incompetent. They also allowed their friends to skip queues and move ahead of people. I stayed for one ride and left due to the kids developing a headache caused by the ridiculous and chaotic queues. When I complained to customer service and asked for a refund, I was told its against their policy. This is just a money-making park, and they're only on business to milk money out of families. They have no intention to address my awful experience nor refund the extortionate fees they cahrged for false promises. DO NOT waste your money. Go to the beach.
