Departure at the scheduled time, from your hotel, to the Montserrat region, a journey of approximately one hour.
Upon arrival, we will explore the Montserrat Monastery, a historical treasure more than a thousand years old, located in the mountains of Catalonia. Founded in the 11th century, this site is home to the Virgin of Montserrat, “La Moreneta”, and offers exceptional panoramic views from its 720 meters above sea level.
We will visit the Basilica of the monastery, notable for its 12-meter-high organ and more than 4,200 pipes, combining Gothic, Renaissance and Catalan architecture elements. Then, we will explore the Montserrat Museum, with works by El Greco, Miró, Dalí, Tápies, Picasso and other masters, as well as an archaeological collection with pieces from Egypt and Mesopotamia.
Then, our visit will move on to the prestigious Familia Torres winery, known for making some of the best wines with Cabernet Sauvignon strains. Internationally recognized, these wineries offer exceptional wine tourism experiences. We will begin with an audiovisual introduction about the history of the Torres family and its wineries, immersing ourselves in the world of wine through the senses.
During the tour, we will explore the Penedés area and the winery facilities, walking through the vineyards of the estate. We will get to know the wine-making process up close and see the barrels where the best wines from the estate age.
We continue our trip to the charming coastal town of Sitges, known for its labyrinthine and cobblestone streets, perfect for exploring on foot. We will stroll along its picturesque boardwalk, enjoying the sea views and the vibrant atmosphere of this popular destination. If we have time, don't miss the iconic Church of San Bartolome and Santa Tecla, the rich collection of the Cau Ferrat Museum and the quiet San Sebastián Beach, where you can relax and enjoy the sun and the sea.
