Palm Jumeirah

Dubai · 16.8km from downtown

509 reviews

Whether viewed from a plane while skydiving or researching your dream trip online, Dubai, the renowned palm-shaped island, is truly unique. This engineering marvel symbolizes Dubai's continuous development and the realization of dreams. The area boasts a range of island residences, luxurious five-star resorts, trendy restaurants, and stylish beach clubs, exuding a sophisticated and glamorous urban charm. The best first stop on Palm Jumeirah is the Atlantis, The Palm, located in the outer crescent-shaped area, one of the island's landmarks. Even if you're not a guest, you can admire its stunning architecture and enjoy world-class dining. Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark, the resort's water park, is one of the most popular attractions on Palm Jumeirah. With dozens of thrilling rides and slides, a private and beautiful beach, and access to the Lost Chambers Aquarium, it's a great destination for the whole family. At Atlantis Waterworld Adventure, you can also take a ride on the Dubai Balloon, a tethered helium balloon, and ascend 300 meters into the air for breathtaking views of Palm Jumeirah and the entire city of Dubai. For an even more luxurious experience, book a sunbed at the AURA Sky Pool and relax by the pool in the clouds. Another excellent viewpoint is The View observation deck on Palm Jumeirah, 240 meters high, located in the "trunk" area. After your aerial tour, you can explore the shops and restaurants at Nakheel Mall in the Palm. You can also charter a luxury yacht and cruise along the expansive coastline, or experience thrilling speedboat and wakeboarding trips. The calmer waters between the "leaves" and along the "trunk" of Palm Jumeirah are popular spots for kayaking and paddleboarding.

Dubai Frame

Dubai · 4.5km from downtown

481 reviews

The "Dubai Frame" was built in 2013, with a height of about 150 meters and a width of 93 meters. What is amazing is that its appearance will be fully gilded, and the total cost is as high as 160 million dirhams (about 300 million yuan). The 150-meter-tall gilded frame stands high above Zabeel Park, with a 93-meter sky bridge at the top, which provides a 360-degree panoramic view, presenting the city's historical landscape and modern architecture. Overlooking the city from the sky bridge, you can see the old city of Deraa to the north and the skyscrapers of Sheikh Zayed Avenue to the south. Take a panoramic glass elevator down into the museum, where visitors can experience Dubai's journey from a small fishing village to a metropolis through interaction and augmented reality.

Dubai Desert Safari Camp

Dubai is a city built in the desert and has turned the endless sea of sand into a tourist's paradise. Traversing waves of sand in a dune buggy is a unique experience visitors cannot miss on a trip to Dubai. The activity is usually scheduled to take place at sunset when the temperature in the desert begins to drop. Visitors can off road through undulating sand dunes, experiencing the speed and weightlessness of daring jumps. Evenings offer a taste of Arabian barbecue and belly dance performances in a tent set up on the sand.

Global Village

7.6

Dubai · 15.3km from downtown

508 reviews

Global Village currently features pavilions representing more than 90 cultures. There are so many highlights here: some come for the amusement rides and mechanical attractions, some want to sample cuisines from around the world, some come for the evening entertainment performances, and some come to take home a few distinctive gifts. Here, there are over 65 countries' small shops in total, distributed across approx. 27 to 30 national pavilions, selling specialty goods from around the world. Here, you can find African wood carvings, Moroccan argan oil, and Thai dried fruits. In the India Pavilion, there are multiple small shops, with cotton products, silk, saffron, and colorful fiber goods like rainbows, everything you could wish for. Every themed area, from Egypt to Italy, from Vietnam to Oman, spares no effort on sound, smell, and decor to make visitors feel as if they are in the corresponding country. No two pavilions are exactly alike, all to immerse visitors and give them the feeling of traveling the globe. At night, on the main stage of the park, magic, music, and opera blend together, making it hard to tell whether it is a dream or reality.

Zabeel Park

7.5

5.0/5

16 reviews

Located in the heart of Dubai, Zabeel Park is a modern urban oasis that blends technology, ecology, and leisure. Spanning 47.6 hectares, the park is designed around a "technology theme" and, with its futuristic facilities and multicultural experiences, has become a must-visit destination for family outings and technology enthusiasts. The particularly dazzling jewel within the park is the Dubai Frame that spans across it, a 150 m tall golden giant frame connecting history and the future in a surreal posture. Ascending to the glass observation corridor, one gazes north at the lively everyday atmosphere of the traditional old city of Deira, and south over the skyscraper forest along Sheikh Zayed Road, where time and space form a stunning dialogue. From the vertical gardens in the domed conservatory to the palm shade supported by water-saving irrigation systems, Zabeel Park embodies the sustainable development ambitions of a desert city. Whether it is the open-air theater under the stars or the morning runners passing by the sculptures of traditional Arabian wind towers, the inclusive and innovative pulse of Dubai always beats here.

The Lost World Aquarium

7.4

4.4/5

733 reviews

Formerly known as The Lost Chambers Aquarium, The Lost World Aquarium in Dubai is designed around the lost ancient city of Atlantis, blending ancient ruins and relics with marine life exhibits. Reopened after a large-scale renovation, the aquarium features more than ten themed zones that use immersive projection mapping, LED lighting, and custom music to create an atmosphere of exploring underwater ruins. The centerpiece is the Ambassador Lagoon, a large aquarium tank with considerable capacity that is home to tens of thousands of marine creatures, including sharks, rays, jellyfish, octopuses, and schools of tropical fish. The lagoon regularly hosts underwater mermaid performances, in which multiple performers enact the legend of Atlantis in the water. After the renovation, several distinctive species habitats were added, where rare species such as axolotls and giant Pacific octopuses can be observed. The aquarium also has multiple touch pools that allow visitors to get close to some marine life. For experiences, the aquarium offers snorkeling and diving opportunities in the Ambassador Lagoon, letting visitors swim alongside sharks and rays; behind-the-scenes tours visit the fish hospital, food preparation room, and shark nursery to learn about the daily care and conservation of marine life. The interactive trident is a fun installation added after the renovation; waving it in specific exhibition zones triggers hidden messages and multisensory effects, making it suitable for family-friendly exploration.
