Magome-juku is the 43rd of the 69 campsites on Nakasendo built in the Edo period, about 332 kilometers away from Edo Nihonbashi, the starting point of Nakasendo. On both sides of the steep mountain road, it is built with stones. In the center of the camp, there are the main camp (big camp), the Xieben camp (side camp), as well as the travel cage (post station), the restaurant (small restaurant), etc. Arrange in rows. After Tokugawa Ieyasu unified the whole country, he started to renovate the roads. A total of five roads were built starting from Edo (Tokyo). Among them, the 540-kilometer "Zhongshan Road" became the only way for merchants to travel. The accommodation is located at the midpoint of "Zhongshan Road", which created the prosperous era of these two small towns. The streets of Magongsu are still paved with stone roads of the past. There are various shops in wooden houses on both sides. There are many ancient tea shops, izakayas, art shops, and hotels. Colorful flowers are planted in front of each door. It also retains the wells and waterwheels used in the past, adding an ancient sense; walking through the nostalgic streets and occasionally seeing old women in traditional kimonos makes people seem to enter a time tunnel and return to the Tokugawa Ieyasu era in the 17th century.Nakatsugawa · 16.3km from Ena

It is divided into 10 stages from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain. Each stage is called a "station", and there is a place for tourists to rest. There is also a post office on the top of the mountain, where you can send a postcard to friends and relatives. . In addition, watching the sunrise on Mount Fuji will be an unforgettable and beautiful experience. In addition to Mount Fuji itself, the scenery around the mountain is also very good. Among them, the walls of the Fuyue Feng Cave are covered with stalactite-like icicles, which are called "Wannianxue". Shibuya is a commercial and entertainment district near JR Shibuya station, standing alongside Shinjuku and Ikebukuro as one of Tokyo's three major sub-centers and one of the city's bustling neighborhoods. Every time the traffic light turns green, the massive crosswalk in front of JR Shibuya station is engulfed by waves of pedestrians, while giant billboards and digital screens around reflect the energy of this busy metropolis. Shibuya is the birthplace of youth culture. In this 24-hour sleepless district, various trendy fashion shops, restaurants, bars, and entertainment centers gather, and street band performances can often be seen. Major department stores are also vibrant with the presence of young people. In Shibuya, even the outfits of passersby are stylish enough, with many fashion magazines like "ViVi" and "Mina" sourcing their street snaps from here. Thanks to the prevalence of trend culture, the area is filled with fashionable men and women, and avant-garde or even eccentric outfits are not uncommon. Shopping route recommendations When shopping in Shibuya, it's recommended to start from the bustling Shibuya crossing, pass through the busy pedestrian zone Center Street and Spain Slope, and take a break at the spacious Yoyogi Park when tired. This route allows you to experience Shibuya's typical youthful atmosphere. Statue of Hachiko When you exit from the Hachiko exit of Shibuya station, you will see the statue of Hachiko. The story of Hachiko, who kept waiting for his deceased owner in front of JR Shibuya station, is well-known throughout Japan. Today, the area in front of this statue is one of Tokyo's popular meeting spots. Why not take a photo with Hachiko? Shibuya 109 Shibuya crossing is surrounded by department stores and is a highly photographed location. Across the street, Shibuya 109 houses over 120 boutique shops, offering trendy fashion that is highly representative and popular among young women, with sales staff even adopting cute and playful attitudes. Though inconspicuous, the Spanish slope exudes a trendy vibe with its unique shops on both sides. Asakusa

Asakusa is a traditional district in Tokyo that developed around Senso-ji Temple, offering a distinct atmosphere from modern commercial areas like Ginza, Shinjuku, and Shibuya. It retains the charm of Edo's old downtown and is regarded as a microcosm of ancient Edo culture. Historically, Asakusa suffered severe damage twice—from fires after the Great Kanto Earthquake and WWII air raids—but gradually regained popularity during postwar reconstruction. Today, it epitomizes old Tokyo. The heart of the district is Senso-ji, a Buddhist temple founded in the 7th century. Its entrance, Kaminarimon ("Thunder Gate"), features a massive red lantern inscribed with the gate's name and is flanked by statues of the wind and thunder gods, where people once prayed for good harvests and weather. The bustling Nakamise shopping street, lined with red storefronts, connects Kaminarimon to Hozomon Gate and the main hall, selling traditional snacks like ningyo-yaki, Edo-era toys, and crafts, with some shops over a century old. Kimono rentals are also available here. Nearby, Asakusa Shrine, built in the Edo period, is worth a visit, while Denbo-in Temple's garden can only be admired from outside. Asakusa also hosts traditional festivals: the Sanja Matsur in May at Asakusa Shrine embodies Edo's vibrant spirit, alongside summer's "Hozuki Market" at Senso-ji, the "Tori-no-Ichi" fair at Otori Shrine in early winter, and year-end "Hagoita Market." Sumida Park along the Sumida River is a famed cherry blossom spot, with boat rides offering waterfront views in spring. The summer fireworks festival on the river is a major annual event. For Edo-style cuisine, classics like tempura, soba, and eel are easy to find. With extra time, explore Kappabashi Street, known for kitchenware and food replicas. The area is easily explored on foot or by rickshaw.Japan · Tokyo

More than 300 years ago, there were 69 inns on the Nakasen Road from Tokyo to Kyoto, and Tsumago is one of them. Tsumago is located deep in the mountains and is ancient and quiet. Although Japan began to build various railways and highways after the Meiji period, Tsumago was never disturbed. Because of the developed transportation, the existence of these stations has become unimportant. They gradually withdraw from the stage and officially live in seclusion in the mountains and forests. Tsumago maintains the appearance of more than 300 years ago, with elegant inns, simple shops, paths in the woods and trickling streams. It is an important traditional building complex in Japan and has become a place for many people who want to escape and relax. Simply beautiful. If you're tired of the hustle and bustle of Osaka and Tokyo, Tsumago may be a surprise on your trip.Nagiso · 21.8km from Ena

#magomeju The Nakayama Ancient Road is one of the five major transportation routes developed in Japan during the Edo period. Connecting Nihonbashi in Edo (now Tokyo) and Sanjo Street in Kyoto. This ancient road is also called "Nakasendo", "Nakasendo", "Kiso Street", and "Kuzo Road". The total length is 507.7 km, spanning Tokyo, Saitama Prefecture, Gunma Prefecture, Nagano Prefecture, Gifu Prefecture, Shiga Prefecture and Kyoto Prefecture. There are 67 sleeping quarters (called inns in Chinese) in the middle. Among them, Naarai-juku, Tsumago-juku, Magome-juku, Akei-juku, and Kusatsu-juku are the most popular inns. I went to Narai-juku a few years ago, and this time I specially came to Magome-juku. Although the weather was unfavorable and it was raining, it did not affect the interest in traveling. Walking on the ancient streets felt like returning to the distant ancient times. Here are six photos for your reference.

Chose to visit the Mount Fuji Instagram-famous spots on Trip.com's recommendation, and I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable experience. The itinerary included memorable locations such as Arakurayama Sengen Park, Hikawa Clock Shop, Oshino Hakkai, Kawaguchiko Lawson, and Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park—each offering its own breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji. Our tour guide (Hikari) truly made the trip special: not only was he friendly, but he was also impressively patient throughout the day, making sure everyone felt comfortable and had enough time to enjoy each spot. The pace of the tour was just right, allowing for leisurely sightseeing and ample opportunities for taking photos—perfect for capturing those Instagram-worthy moments! If you're considering this day trip, I recommend bringing your camera and a light jacket, as weather around Mt. Fuji can change. The service from Trip.com was smooth and easy, making the whole experience stress-free.

Yes, it gets extremely crowded (especially weekends, holidays, and peak midday hours), but that energy is part of its charm for many. Go early or late and the experience becomes almost serene.

Hidden within this room lies the charm of nature. Pushing open the door, verdant greenery greets you first. Leaning against the window, the murmuring of a spring fills the air, while mist and haze drift into the room along the window sill. Each season presents its own unique beauty here: spring brings forth new bamboo shoots, summer offers lush shade, autumn fills the courtyard with the fragrance of osmanthus, and winter sees snow tapping against the window. Every detail in the room reflects thoughtful consideration: the mattress's firmness perfectly supports a tired back, the toiletries have a pleasant, non-irritating scent, and a warm, yellow light awaits you at the door when you return late at night. This is not just a temporary resting place, but a sanctuary for the soul. After a few days, even the most tense nerves gradually relax, allowing you to rediscover your most relaxed state.

Tsumago-juku was the first traditional village in Japan to be restored and preserved in its original appearance in the middle of the last century. There are no facilities built here to accommodate large numbers of tour groups for accommodation and meals, so there are no large numbers of tour groups to be seen on the streets.

Довольно неплохая смотровая площадка с интересной архитектурой. Будьте готовы к очередям в предзакатное/ закатное время и к тому, что выход из здания занимает даже больше времени, чем вход в эти часы. В целом довольны посещением.
