I used it when I went to Kyoto, and overall it was very convenient and the price was very reasonable. However, I don't know if it's a problem with the network in Kyoto or because there are too many tourists, but it was always very laggy near Kawaramachi. It worked well in other places and I could use most commonly used apps, but Gemini was not very good and often lost signal.

I used this in KL, Bangkok and Shanghai. Overall the signal was ok. Sometimes we do get a drop out but it’s not often. We managed to use all social media platforms with this eSIM at Shanghai. Only thing is if you want to hail a ride you’ll need a number for it in china.

The signal strength in Japan is decent. I used it in Tokyo this time and it went smoothly overall. I would buy it again next time I go. The price is also very reasonable.
