The SIM works great in Costa Rica between Liberia and the west coast. There were a few pockets with limited coverage, but that's understandable as it was near the hills. Great speed and connects quickly.★

I used it only around Juan Santamaria International Airport near San Jose and it worked generally well, but sometimes was slow, without any visible reason (the signal was constantly strong enough).
