We were picked up by a large bus (for 50 people). First, we visited a silversmith. This wasn't mentioned in the itinerary. Apparently, Leonardo di Caprio had also stopped there, and the ladies were allowed to pose with a replica of the jewelry used in the filming of Romeo & Juliet. Afterward, we drove to the boats (a long journey due to traffic jams in and around CDMX), which I expected to be a lot, but it's a one-way trip, and meanwhile, vendor boats tie up, selling snacks, drinks, flower garlands, ponchos, and mariachis who perform for 300 MXN a piece. Maybe it's more fun with friends... Afterward, we drove to Coyacan, where you can walk around freely if you haven't booked the lunch option (which we did). We had a delicious pizza there. Chio & and Rodrigo from Amigo Tours were excellent tour guides. They not only were very knowlegeable, but lots of fun. I would have liked a smaller group, but it turned out fine. Our buffet lunch was not the best that Mexico has to offer.
