I reserved an eSIM a few days in advance in Japan and activated it at the airport on the day of departure. After arriving at Incheon Airport, I opened the mobile data section of my smartphone's settings, turned off the main line, turned on the eSIM, and then turned on data roaming. I joined a cruise trip and stopped in Busan for a day. I bought a one-day eSIM, but it wouldn't work (the first time I successfully transferred the SIM using a QR code, I had no internet access; subsequent transfers failed). I contacted the seller via WhatsApp through someone else's hotspot, and after the seller provided me with another QR code, I was finally able to access the internet.
