Reviews: Thanh Ha Village: Pottery Workshop with Locals

Whilst it’s a little tricky to find, and the artists don’t speak much English, the pottery class was well worth the journey and the money. We were taught to make a variety of different clay pots, and got to keep one to decorate as included (you could make more to decorate for a really good price). We also decided to make whistle turtles, and had both fired in their “kiln” (a series of air fryers - very funny). Nice neck of the woods and gets you out of the old town.
Reviews: 5 traditional dishes Da Nang cooking class with market trip
Guest User2026-01-26
I made a reservation for 4 p.m. I had to be at the address listed on the instructions by 4 p.m. Once I got there, the cooking instructor and I went to the local market right next door. This is a truly authentic local market. There's a lot of fruit and interesting things to see. The guide doesn't speak Korean well, but she speaks English well. We were able to converse in simple English. We walked around the market to buy the ingredients we needed, then went back to listen to the instructor's explanations and cook together. There were five dishes in total, and we all had fun making them. None of them were particularly difficult, and the small talk with the instructor was fun. After we finished, we ate our food and received a certificate of completion. The entire process took two and a half hours, and the cost of the groceries was included in the reservation fee, so the instructor paid for it. It was fun. Our instructor, Jenny, was very kind.

Reviews: Hoi An Eco Tour Cooking Class & Fishing (Local market, basket boat, learn cooking)
Guest User2025-12-30
The combination tour to the market, the basket Ride to try and catch fish/crab, and cooking Class was great for our family with 2 young kids (3 and 5)! The cooking Class at the end was particularly excellent, where Duyen taught us how to make 4 excellent dishes, and even I (115 kg) left full and happy. I think my 5 y.o. enjoyed the fishing part with nets the most, and we did catch a small fish. The 3 y.o. was intrigued the most by the basket spinning, and ultimately participated but only mildly enjoyed. Big shout out to Duyen's cooking Class! It was run very very well, and Mr. Luong made the pick up/drop off very easy!
