Reviews: Whitney Plantation and Airboat Tour from New Orleans
Guest User2025-10-15
My wife choose this tour and I'm glad she did. First our guide Brian was awesome. Talk about a funny guy. His laugh was co contagious. He has us in stitches. He goes above and beyond. The plantation tour was very interesting and full of information. Then we had the airboat ride and our guide and I forget his name but he was so knowledgeable about the gators and the swamp. He called some gators over and fed them. It was an amazing day! Highly recommend doing this tour.
Reviews: Whitney Plantation Tour with Transportation from New Orleans

We had a great experience visiting Oak Alley Plantation, and a big part of it was thanks to our driver, Kin. Originally from New Orleans, he shared a lot of knowledge about the city’s history during the drive and gave us excellent recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to try. He was truly great and very professional. I highly recommend him! His vehicle was also very comfortable, which made the trip even more enjoyable. As for Oak Alley itself, the visit is interesting for anyone who wants to see the inside of a former slaveholder’s house, as both the mansion and the grounds are very well preserved. The guided tour of the house is paid, but access to the gardens and the former slave quarters is free. If your main interest is learning more about the lives of enslaved people, I would recommend visiting Whitney Plantation instead, as it offers a deeper and more focused perspective on that history.
Reviews: The National WWII Museum Admission Ticket New Orleans

Having been to Normandy(Omaha and Utah beaches), this was a great experience. There is more than a day's time if you are a WWII buff or enthusiast. Both my son and I have read a ton of books about WWII and other major wars. The holocaust area was extremely well done and emotional. We did see things we had not seen in Normandy and the museums there. The restoration of artifacts was really great with some incredible detail of original pieces. I wish could have come back for another 1/2 of date even after spending 6 hours there.
