My trip to Beijing was a self-guided one, with round-trip high-speed rail travel; I could enter the station with just my ID card. I stayed at the Beijing Xinqiao Hotel, conveniently located above Chongwenmen subway station. Breakfast was included, and the buffet had a wide variety of options. Hotel service was excellent, and check-out was quick. The only downside was that the room window couldn't be opened and faced the restaurant. Overall, I was very satisfied and give it 5 stars!
