Reviews: Nagoya to Shirakawa-go & Hida Takayama: UNESCO Heritage 1-Day Tour
Guest User2025-11-05
The overall itinerary was somewhat rushed due to Japanese driver service time regulations. The Takayama leg of the trip was particularly tight, mainly because completing a meal and a full visit to the Takayama Jinya (traditional Japanese houses) within two hours was quite strenuous. Two hours was more than enough for the Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri village. The tour guide was very professional and nice, and his explanations were quite interesting. The group members came from all over the world, with mainland Chinese tourists making up about 10%, making it a very international team.

Kawagoe is absolutely gorgeous! The scenery is like a fairytale world; you'll fall in love with it at first sight. I especially want to thank our female guide, Miyamoto, for making this experience so wonderful. She not only planned the itinerary perfectly, managing the time flawlessly, and providing clear and detailed explanations, but she was also incredibly considerate, making me feel completely at ease throughout the trip. She was more than just a guide; she was like a friend. I highly recommend her to first-time visitors! 👍

Excellent tour! Mihoko had great knowledge of the Jinya and the Old Town, and she gave us many wonderful suggestions for meals. She was lovely, friendly, and very accommodating. I highly recommend doing this tour!
Reviews: Takayama: 30-Minute Sake Brewery Tour
Guest User2025-10-25
The brewery tour with tasting was a lot of fun for my partner and me. Takumi from Happy Plus Takayama was a fantastic guide and explained the history and origins of sake with great charm and humor. In the end, we tasted seven different sakes, so there was something for everyone. We can therefore highly recommend the tour to anyone who wants to get a glimpse behind the scenes in addition to the tasting.
Reviews: Kanazawa: Private Food Tasting Walking Tour
Guest User2025-10-31
The best part was our guide, Saki. She was sweet, young and very pleasant. We have been on several food tasting & walking tours, and this was not that. We went to 2 restaurants and tried great food options, but we were mot given history or culture about the food. Typically, we would walk & talk about the food culture & try various restaurants (more than 2 in 3 hours). We were disappointed in that aspect of the tour, not the guide.
