A classic South Island New Zealand route that doesn't require driving - an effortless travel experience with high-value group tours popular among Western travelers.
Great value. One flight trip offers two different flight experiences: fixed-wing aircraft + helicopter, showcasing the breathtaking millennia-old glaciers.

The 45-minute snowfall was a fantastic experience. Actually, you don't need to arrive 30 minutes early; arriving a little late is fine too, as there's a queue to register and weigh you, and by the time you get to your turn, it's almost time to go. The pilots can get close to the mountain for a close-up view of the glacier. The snow on the mountain is very soft after being warmed by the sun, so you need to wear waterproof shoes. My regular sneakers were completely soaked after just 10 minutes of taking photos. It wasn't cold at all on the mountain; with the sunshine, it was similar to down below, so you didn't need a down jacket.
