Reviews: From Delhi : Same Day Haridwar & Rishikesh Tour With Car and Guide
Guest User2026-11-06
We had one free day left in Delhi, so we decided to go to Haridwar and Rishikesh. This turned out to be practically the only interesting day trip option from Delhi, other than the places we'd already visited. The drive takes 4-5 hours each way. The guide took us to temples and ashrams, telling us about Hinduism and local traditions. The Ganges, which just descends from the Himalayas here, was a special highlight. The water is clear and cool, completely different from Varanasi. The nature and views around are truly beautiful! In my opinion, this trip is suitable for those who have already seen the main sights of Delhi and northern India and are looking for something new. There's also a fairly large selection of inexpensive souvenirs. An unpleasant moment: when we were leaving, the driver started asking why we hadn't left a tip for the guide. However, the guide himself, on the contrary, protected us from beggars and never asked for any extra money. We have no complaints about him. The company assured us that the driver had been fired. Overall we were pleased with the trip!
