I had a truly wonderful experience attending the tea ceremony in the Kanazawa gardens this morning. The setting itself is beautiful and peaceful, but what really made the experience exceptional was the instructor who guided us through the ceremony. She was extremely knowledgeable and explained every step of the tea ceremony with great clarity and passion, going into meaningful detail without ever being overwhelming. Thanks to her explanations, it was easy to understand not only how the tea is prepared, but also why each gesture and movement is so important. The experience felt authentic, calm, and deeply connected to Japanese culture and spirituality. It was not rushed at all, and there was plenty of time to ask questions and fully appreciate the ritual. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Kanazawa. It is genuinely interesting, well-organized, and absolutely worth the time. A memorable and enriching cultural experience that I will not forget.

We did this as soon as we arrived in Kanazawa which gave us a good understanding before venturing off on our own. Our guide Hirofumi was very organised & got in touch with us the day before via WhatsApp - he personalised our tour based on the location of our hotel and our plans for after. He was very knowledgeable.

Selda brought Kanazawa to life for our group of four. Her guidance through the market emboldened us to try new foods and return on our own the next day. We loved learning about the geisha system, samurai houses, various aspects of Japanese culture and real estate. We ended up spending an extra day in Kanazawa because we realized there was so much for us to explore! We also greatly appreciated her recommendations for food, restaurants and other activities in the city. Thank you, Selda!
