Honestly, it's really just so-so. Nearly 40 minutes of the two and a half hours are spent going through the locks, and the section of the canal is dark and there's nothing there. The scenery on the Qiantang River is pretty good for about half an hour, and you can see the Qianjiang New City light show, but you can see that from the City Balcony, which might be more impressive. In short, I don't recommend going on the ride; it's extremely boring.

There were only 6 people in this group, and Ctrip even organized a tour. The itinerary was very relaxed overall. We stayed in a sea-view room with a balcony that offered a direct view of Patong Beach. The group meals were good. For the Phi Phi Island trip, we changed our itinerary to a speedboat to Phi Phi Leh at our own expense. We went snorkeling, swam on the beach, and sunbathed. The sea was so beautiful. The only downside was that both flights were at night, making it difficult to sleep on the plane, so I didn't get a good night's sleep. Overall, we were very satisfied with the food, accommodation, and transportation.
