I sailed from Phuket via Phi Phi to Koh Lanta. Everything was efficient and on time. For some reason, return tickets weren't sold on the trip, so I had to buy them at the ticket office at a higher price.

Everything was simple and clear. The journey was very quick, much more pleasant than the ferry. We all got really sick on the ferry, but not on the sleepboat! We had a big one, so that was no problem either!

The tour was superbly organized. A minibus arrived at the hotel and took us to the pier within an hour. There, we were given stickers and boarding passes based on our lists. Two hours later, we arrived at Tonsai Pier. On board, in the Economy Lounge, they provided tea, coffee, water, and motion sickness pills. Everything was perfect. The captain passed Maya Bay, Pele Bay, and the Viking Cave, giving us a great view.

Booking a package including pick-up and drop-off on Ctrip is more cost-effective. Buying just a boat ticket can be expensive for those unfamiliar with the area or going for the first time, requiring a separate taxi ride. This package costs an extra 20 baht per person and includes pick-up and drop-off. Most people stay near the beach, and a taxi to the pier is quite a distance, starting at least 100 baht, making it relatively hassle-free. It's best to choose a spot where you won't get wet on the boat. If the waves are high or it rains, you can easily get soaked. The boat will be fast and rocking a lot, so take seasickness medication beforehand.

The ferry booking process is very simple. At the pier, you simply show your voucher and they give you stickers for your clothing and tickets. After that, you wait to be invited on board. The only downside is the cockroaches on the ferry itself; they crawl all over the seats and there are a lot of them.
