Thanks to our tour guide, Ms. Wang Ting, who was so nice when we brought our baby with us. We also want to thank the Japanese driver for helping us carry the stroller. You can choose your own way to explore each attraction during the itinerary. We chose a leisurely pace with our baby, and the rides between attractions were short. My daughter loved the Baumkuchen factory, a place everyone doesn't see often. We spent quite a while there, and it was great for taking photos. Traveling with a tour group was much more convenient and cheaper than taking our own transportation!
Reviews: 1-Day Tour from Nagoya: Hiking the Historic Nakasendo Trail
Guest User2025-12-01
Our guide was very knowlegeable and shared a lot of history about Japan and the culture. He was studying Japanese history and culture and was the perfect guide. I have to give kudos to the company even though there were only two of us in the tour the company Snow Monkey did not cancel the tour. The hike was at a resonable pace for the two of us who are in our mid and late 60'ss. The guide slowed the pace to help us manage the hike. We have great memories of the Nakasendo trail and wonderful background about it. We highly recommend this tour.
Reviews: Nagoya Highlight Tour guided by a friendly local

Tomoko is a fantastic guide. She met us punctually at the agreed meeting point with a sign, clearly printed with our names. We needed to purchase train tickets to Takayama but found it confusing, she immediately volunteered to help us. She’s very friendly and we can tell right away she genuinely likes people and love being a guide. She took us to all the sights as agreed and though the weather was hot, she was constantly thoughtful to ensure we walked in the shade and she also brought us ice cold hydrating drinks in her backpack. She’s very knowledgeable and taught us much about Nagoya, Japanese culture and even introduced all the specialty foods to us. We are so grateful for the wonderful day we spent with Tomoko. We travel all over the world and can say she’s one the best guides we’ve ever had. Domo arigato gozaimasu Tomoko.

We had a great time and enjoyed both the Nagoya Castle and Hommaru Palace, as well as the Toyota museum visit, immensely. Very impressive and very interesting ! Yuko is a fantastic guide and made a big difference: very knowledgeable and attentive - and also very proficient in English and super organized - we had a very safe and smooth experience.
