The internet is good and easy to use. I bought an e-SIM in advance and activated it upon arrival at Osaka Airport. It has 5G in some spots and 4G in others. The speed is high; I used 2 gigabytes a day, but I don't use it all because the hotel has good, high-speed Wi-Fi.★

I had no problems using this eSim in Nagoya, Okazaki and Matsumoto. It was a breeze, and I never lost access to the internet, which was super important as we were navigating the roads while driving, and really depended on Google Maps to get to all our destinations through the rural areas as well.★
