This was my first time buying an eSIM on TripAdvisor. I spent seven days in Kyoto and had a great experience with smooth network connectivity. The signal was weak in the mountains, but worked perfectly in the city. I'm not a heavy internet user; I don't watch videos all the time, mostly using maps and Gemini. I used this for a temporary return to Japan. It's cheaper than Japanese budget SIM cards. Connecting is very easy; you just tap the install button in the app. However, since the connection originates outside of Japan, PayPay may not be available. Nevertheless, I would like to use it again next time.
